Kia Motors Won 2020

The year is almost over, and we’re sure there are still some awards and accolades that could come out before the New Year, but we’re just so proud of Kia Motors and the recognition the automaker has received during a year where celebration didn’t seem very common. And yet, sometimes you have to take the wins you get. They eventually all add up, and for Kia Motors, it’s a stellar portfolio of excellence with a bright future.

WOWZA

Let’s start off with a bang! The 2020 Kia Telluride won the “Triple Crown” of Automotive Awards , having won the MotorTrend SUV of the Year , getting a place on the Car and Driver 10 Best list , and winning 2020 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year from North American Car of the Year (NACTOY). The Telluride SUV was the new boss in the auto industry.

The Best of the Best

Kia Motors won so many awards in 2020, it’s easy to lose count. All the while, many organizations put their “Best of” lists together, and Kia was always in the winner’s circle. Kelley Blue Book named the 2020 Kia Telluride on its Best Family Cars List ; Autotrader took an interest in many Kia vehicles such as the Telluride for its interior under $50k and the Best New Cars of 2020 List , and the Kia Seltos on the 10 Best Cars for Recent College Graduates 2020 List . User experience and customizable interiors has become a growing trend in the industry, and the Kia Telluride landed on another Best Interiors List by _ WardsAuto _ , along with the Kia Seltos on Wards 10 Best UX list for 2020 .

Kia Motors really swept up the Consumer Guide Best Buy Awards with four vehicles winning – the Kia Soul, Seltos, Telluride, and Rio. The 2020 Kia Telluride was really popular this year, landing on the Car and Driver 10 Best for 2021 list . We’ve also seen a lot of sci-fi stuff coming from Kia Motors, and the Urban Air Mobility Vision by Kia Motors , the Hyundai Motor Group, and Uber was named on the “Best Innovations in 2020” list by Etisalat, a leading telecommunications company in Africa and the Middle East.

J.D. Power

When someone talks about “J.D. Power” they’re talking about a high-class organization that is practically law on the highest ranked vehicles in the auto industry. If an automaker does well during a J.D. Power study, it has bragging rights for a year, done deal. The Kia Telluride and Stinger ranked high on the 2020 J.D. Power APEAL Study (Automotive Performance Execution and Layout), with a focus on an owners’ emotional attachment and level of excitement with their new vehicle. Kia Motors also ranked well as a whole, named the highest brand in the 2020 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study .

Awards City

We said Kia Motors got _ a lot _ of awards this year, and the 2020 Kia Telluride was very popular, winning the Automobile All-Stars Award , 2020 MAMA Award , 2020 NEMPA Winter SUV of the Year , and sharing the spotlight with the Soul EV with the World Car Awards . Speaking of the world, four Kia Motors models took the gold in Russia , and the 2021 Kia Sorento won the German Golden Steering Wheel Award . There were of course some People’s Choice awards too, with the Kia Sedona winning over Parents Magazine , and Autotrader naming the Kia Soul as the perfect car for Dog Lover s.
