Kia Sedona Wins Award from Parents Magazine
Kia Motors has a select few of minivans – one really, and it hasn’t gotten much attention in recent years is the Kia Sedona. It’s attractive, well-rounded, and comes with a great starting MSRP of $27,600 (plus destination fee). Recently, _ PARENTS _ magazine wrapped up their “Best of” list, and the Sedona popped up. Yes, it would seem that, according to consumers who are also parents, the Kia Sedona deserves to win the _ Parents _ magazine “Best Family Cars of 2020” award, and for the second consecutive year, no doubt.
“Finding the right vehicle for your family can be a challenge since there are so many tech and safety options to consider, but the Sedona makes it easy by starting off at an incredible value so families can opt for more of the desirable features they want…Add Kia’s industry-leading warranty into the equation, and the Sedona becomes even harder for families to pass up – it’s with them for the long haul.” – Michael Cole, president, Kia Motors America (KMA)
Just to land on this list, 2020 Best Family Cars award winners are determined via a number of tests. For one, all minivans and SUVs on the list need to have passed government safety tests with excellent results. Second, child passenger safety technician is installed in multiple car seats to test their performance. Finally, test drive by an automotive expert evaluates a variety of features of the vehicle, including its performance, braking, steering, technology, and more. There were more than 50 other competitors consisting of parent-tested minivans, SUVs, and sedans, but you can’t deny a winner.
The 2020 Kia Sedona minivan is that winner, with a number of practical features that add convenience to the drive, plenty of passenger space and cargo room, a nice touch of style for a minivan, and a number of technology features that make the ride all the better. Some of the features that stand out the most are those that really up the convenience for a family. We’re talking power sliding doors with buttons installed into the side door handles, a hands-free “Smart Power” lift-gate, “Slide-N-Stow” second-row seating for added cargo space (or just to get into third-row a little easier), dual-screen rear-seat entertainment for rear passengers, and driver assistance features to make navigating the road ahead a little easier.
Unlike most minivans, the 2020 Kia Sedona actually comes with an available eight-passenger seating configuration. That means if you just have a family of four or five, then you don’t need the third row (L trim only). Creature comforts include tri-zone climate control to automatically keep the driver, front-passenger, and rear passengers happy with their respective operation of the A/C. There are also heated and ventilated-front seats available to keep you warm or cool you down. Powered by a 3.3-Liter V6 engine (standard) that can generate up to 276 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque, this minivan can also tow up to 3500 pounds. It’s perfect for lugging the smaller boats to the ramp or a couple of jet skis.
