Engine Type

The 2024 Kia Carnival comes with the same lineup – LX, LX with the Seat Package, EX, SX, and SX Prestige. Powering all trims is the same powertrain, a 3.5-liter V6 GDI Lambda III engine, able to generate 290 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, and paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Fuel Economy

Fuel economy is the same across all trims. The 2024 Kia Soul has a fuel economy of 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. This MPV also comes with an impressive 3,500-pound towing capacity.

Exterior Features

Standard features on the 2024 Kia Carnival include heated and power-adjustable side mirrors with LED turn signals, LED multi-reflector headlights (projector headlights on the SX Prestige) LED daytime running lights, automatic headlight control, solar control glass on the front windshield, rear privacy glass, power sliding doors, a sound-absorbing front windshield. The SX Prestige comes with a rear spoiler with LED taillights. Past the LX trims, solar control glass on the front door windows, and sound-absorbing front door window glass are included. 17-inch wheels are the standard for the LX trims, with 19-inch wheels on the rest of the lineup. Consumers can add a black skid plate, and opt-in for the Carnival Dark Edition for darker roof rails, C-Pillar garnish, side door garnish, tailgate garnish, exterior side mirror covers, front grille, and wheels, as well as the black skid plate.

Interior Features

The 2024 Kia Carnival interior cabin comes with cloth upholstery as the standard on the LX, followed by SynTex seating trim on the LX Seat Package, EX, and SX trims, and genuine leather only in the SX Prestige. A 6-way manual adjustable driver’s seat (LX only) and a 4-way manual adjustable passenger’s seat are standard until the EX trim. The LX Seat Package and EX come with an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way power lumbar support instead (4-way power lumbar support on the SX trims), plus heated front seats. The SX and SX Prestige come with an 8-way power-adjustable passenger’s seat and ventilated front seats, driver’s seat integrated memory, and a heated steering wheel. Lineup standards include a 60/40 split-folding third row, and past the base trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob.

Entertainment

The 2024 Kia Carnival comes with an 8-inch touchscreen on the LX trims, but the SX and SX Prestige come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, plus a 12.3-inch instrument display, for a total of 24.6-inch digital screens making up the cockpit. Past the LX trims, Kia Connect, HD Radio are included, plus a Wi-Fi Hotspot and a wireless phone charger. Regardless, all trims come with Apple CarPlay, Google Android Auto, Bluetooth wireless technology, and SiriusXM Satellite Radio are standard. A 6-speaker is standard on the LX trims, followed by an 8-speaker system on the EX and SX, and a 12-speaker Bose premium sound system on the SX Prestige. Only the SX trims can add a dual-screen rear entertainment system, made up of dual 14.6-inch monitors and full HD resolution.

The 2024 Kia Carnival comes with all of the basic safety features, including dual front advanced airbags, dual front seat-mounted side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, a rollover sensor, an anti-lock brake system, stability and traction control systems, a rear occupant alert system, rear-camera display, and LATCH child-seat ready anchors.
