The 2024 Kia Forte is made up of five trims – LX, LXS, GT-Line, GT, and GT Manual. The LX, LXS, and GT-Line are all powered by a 2.0-liter I4 cylinder engine, able to generate 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. The GT and GT Manual have a turbocharged 1.6-liter I4 engine under the hood, able to generate 201 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque.
Driving and Handling
Engineering jumps around a bit for the 2024 Kia Forte, and so does fuel economy. The LX, LXS, and GT-Line transmit power through an intelligent continuously variable transmission (IVT), but the LX has a fuel economy of 30 mpg in the city and 41 mpg on the highway. The LXS and GT-Line have a shared fuel economy of 28 mpg in the city and 39 mpg on the highway. The GT trim transmits power through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and delivers a fuel economy of 27 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. The GT can also transmit power via a 6-speed manual transmission and delivers a fuel economy of 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

The 2024 Kia Forte offers a number of standard features for the exterior, including solar control glass and high beam assist. Beyond the LXS trim, a Smart Trunk comes standard. Projector Beam Headlights are the standard, followed by LED headlights past the GT-Line. Past the LXS trim, side mirrors with LED turn signals, LED fog lights, tail lights, and daytime running lights are standard. 15-inch wheels are the standard for LX, followed by 16-inch wheels on the LXS, 17-inch wheels on the GT-Line, and 18-inch wheels on the GT trim, regardless of transmission.
Interior Features
Standard features jump around for the interior of the 2024 Kia Forte as well. Past the LXS trim, dual-zone automatic climate control is standard, plus rear a/c vents past the GT-Line (optional for the GT-Line). A 6-way manually-adjustable driver’s seat and 6-way manually-adjustable front passenger’s seat is the lineup standard. A 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar adjustment is optional in the GT-Line and GT with dual-clutch transmission. Heated front seats are standard on GT with manual transmission (optional add-on for the GT-Line and GT with dual-clutch transmission. Ventilated front seats are optional in the GT-Line and GT trim with dual-clutch transmission. Past the LX, 60/40 split-folding rear seats are standard, and a sunroof is standard for the GT with manual transmission (optional add-on for the GT-Line and GT with dual-clutch transmission).

The standard setup for the 2024 Kia Forte is an 8-inch touchscreen display on the LX and LXS, followed by a 10.25-inch touchscreen display on the rest of the lineup. All trims are capable of Google Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Bluetooth wireless technology. Only trims after the LXS come with Kia Connect, a wireless phone charger, access to SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and navigation. Only the GT-Line and GT with dual-clutch can use the Kia Access App to pre-cool or heat up the car before entering. The LX and LXS play the tunes through a 4-speaker audio system, whereas the GT-Line and GT with dual clutch have a 6-speaker sound system, and the GT with manual comes with a Harman Kardon premium audio system with 8 speakers and a subwoofer (available add-on for the GT-Line and GT with dual clutch). A little odd that the GT with manual is the top tier of this lineup.
Safety Features and Warranty
The 2024 Kia Forte comes with many basic safety features, including dual front advanced airbags, dual front seat-mounted side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, a rollover sensor, an anti-lock brake system, stability and traction control systems, a rear occupant alert system, rear-camera display, and LATCH child-seat ready anchors. Standard advanced safety features include forward collision-avoidance assist with pedestrian detection (plus cyclist detection on the GT-Line and GT trim), lane keeping assist, lane following assist, a driver attention warning system, and a safe exit warning. The 2024 Kia Forte GT with manual transmission comes with a blind-spot collision warning system, a rear cross-traffic warning, and parking distance warning for the rear, whereas the GT-Line and GT have a blind-spot collision-avoidance assist system, a rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist system, navigation-based smart cruise control with stop & go, and highway driving assist.
