The Kia Stinger sports car just can’t be beat. Winning award after award, the Kia Stinger will be forever etched into our minds as the Kia Motors vehicle that stole hearts all through 2017 and 2018. It’s not just performance that the Kia Stinger has, although U.S. News & World Report named the Kia Stinger as the Best Four-door Sports Car. WardsAuto also named the 2018 Kia Stinger for Best Interior. Most recently, the Kia Stinger won a Digital Ad Campaign Award for Kia Motors, and there’s even more good news to share. Sharing the spotlight with the Kia Stinger are four affordable Kia models.

Business Insider and the Kia Stinger

Boy, if you want an in-depth look at a vehicle, the Business Insider Car of the Year is the review to look at. Taking home the big trophy for 2018, the Kia Stinger is Business Insider’s Car of the Year for 2018. Having only presented the trophy four times before, Kia Stinger is officially the fifth car to receive the trophy and the award. This sports car follows the Corvette Stingray in 2014, the Volvo XC90 in 2015, the Acura NSX in 2016, and the Porsche Panamera in 2017.

“In the half-decade we’ve been giving out our Car of the Year award, there had never been a vehicle that established itself as an early front-runner only to maintain its perch all year. But as soon as Senior Correspondent Matt DeBord drove the Kia Stinger in the Bay Area at the beginning of 2018, he knew it was something special. On return to Business Insider’s New York office from the West Coast, he could barely contain his enthusiasm.” – Business Insider

The Kia Stinger best out the Tesla Model 3, the Lamborghini Huracán Performante, the Ferrari 812 Superfast, the Lincoln Navigator, and the Jaguar I-Pace amongst 14 other finalists that were selected. To be eligible, a vehicle must be new or have been substantially updated within the past year. With 70 vehicles competing in 2018, it says a lot for the Kia Stinger to stand out.

When judging each car model, Business Insider has a checklist. Each question is asked about the vehicle – (1) Is there a strong business case for the vehicle? (2) Did our reviewers agree with us that this vehicle should be included in the competition? (3) Was the vehicle objectively excellent? Did it wow us? (4) Did the vehicle stand out from the competition, particularly when it comes to technology? (5) Would we buy or lease the car ourselves?

Designed by Peter Schreyer, the Kia Stinger is the best car South Korea has ever produced. You can find your own Kia sports car at Miami Lakes Automall Kia today. Looking for something more attuned towards the family? We have those, too.

U.S. News List of 24 Affordable Family Cars

U.S. News & World Report has named four more Kia models in their new list of “Affordable Family Cars”. If a sports car isn’t the vehicle for now, perhaps a budget- and family-friendly car would be better suited. Here’s four Kia Motors vehicles that made the list.

2018 Kia Sedona – Fits seven-to-eight people with a high-end interior and roomy cabin.

2019 Kia Sorento – Has a comfortable interior, smooth performance, and offers enough power for a maximum towing capacity of 5000 pounds with the 3.3-liter V6 engine option.

2019 Kia Sportage – “The Sportage is a well-round family hauler that ticks a lot of boxes. The Kia is composed on the road and delivers a connected drive experience,” – Falkenberg-Hull from U.S. News.

2019 Kia Soul – “The Kia Soul is an excellent compact car and consistently rates near the top of our ratings…For 2019, Kia upped the ante, making a 5-inch touch screen, voice recognition, and a rearview camera standard. The Soul has a refined interior that features upscale materials, especially in the highest grades.” – Falkenberg-Hull.
