The 2018 Kia Stinger is by far one of the best Kia models to come out for the 2018 model year. Next to their luxury sedan, the K900, the Stinger sports car set the new standard for Kia Motors. It’s style, it’s technology, and the fact that almost every trim in the lineup is the same aside from few luxury items saved for top-tier trims, it’s impossible to get a bad Kia Stinger. Consumers can get the base trim and still have an amazing vehicle on their hands. Maybe that’s why WardsAuto named the Stinger on their “10 Best Interiors” list. No matter the Kia Stinger, consumers can expect one of the best interior cabins for a sports car.

WardsAuto is an organization that covers the latest news, data, and analysis for today’s auto industry. To compile the “10 Best Interiors” list, 40 car interiors were evaluated by WardsAuto editors and judges. To make it to the finals, only the car interiors that were all new or significantly improved for the new model year went on to the final round. The changes jurors looked for included simple things like various color choices, aesthetics like interior accents and stitching, the style and comfort of the interior itself, and convenience features, and the 2018 Kia Stinger has all of that and more.

Every interior, and we mean _ every interior _ of the Kia Stinger features leather upholstery! Now that’s comfort no matter the price. When it comes to color choices, this is one of few features that are dependent on the trim, but on select trims, consumers can have as many as three color choices for the interior cabin and up to five for the exterior. This year (2018) actually marks the fifth time a Kia vehicle has been included on WardsAuto’s “10 Best Interiors” list.

According to WardsAuto , the Kia Stinger was a clear winner due to its “spot-on build quality, lovely brushed aluminum trim, an ample second row, and beefy seat bolsters to accommodate aggressive maneuvering.” That says a lot about the lineup itself, but when it came to taking a hard look at the interior, the middle trim, the Kia Stinger GT, took over without challenge. Elegant, roomy, athletic, the Kia Stinger’s cabin pulls some cues from the popular Kia Optima while offering high-quality leather and soft-touch materials with just the right mix of black and red surfaces.

When it comes to technology, those at WardsAuto were impressed by how quickly smartphones can pair up with the UVO eServices infotainment system in the Kia Stinger. The voice activation is “first-rate,” or amazing, and the Kia Stinger is the first Kia model to come with driver-assistance systems. These are designed to keep the driver safe on the road by monitoring their driving behavior and then using that data in comparison with future trips to analyze whether the driver is normal, drowsy, drunk, or maybe even angry in comparison with their usual driving behavior. That’s just the beginning for Kia Stinger technology.

Like Kia Motors vehicles, every 2018 Kia Stinger trim comes with UVO eServices. The standard for the 2.0L and GT trims is UVO eServices on a 7-inch touchscreen; the Premium, GT1, and GT2 comes with UVO eServices on an 8-inch touchscreen with a voice command navigation system. No matter the trim, the consumer gets access to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities. Bluetooth wireless technology with voice recognition, a rear camera display, front and rear parking assist, and steering wheel mounted audio and phone buttons also come standard across the lineup.

* Just as we said, the 2018 Kia Stinger is a winner, no matter the trim. The Stinger GT is just a great middle ground and that’s why it was chosen for the “10 Best Interiors List”. Regardless, the 2018 Kia Stinger is a winner no matter how you look at it, and we have plenty of them at Miami Lakes Automall. *
