The new and improved 2021 Dodge Durango will be rolling out soon. While many are waiting to see its top-tier trim, the all-new SRT Hellcat with its 707-horsepower engine, we’re just as excited for all the changes that have gone on with the Durango. Dodge has made sure to provide customers with plenty of options including rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive for each trim. There are some new perks that are worth breaking down as we approach the fall of 2020 when the 2021 Durango is expected to debut for shoppers. For those looking to aim for a reasonably priced vehicle that offers all the thrills of Dodge engineering, but isn’t afraid of driving the fastest-three-row-SUV on the planet, side with the Durango this model year.
Durango SXT, GT, and R/T Trim Breakdown
The base trim is the SXT RWD $33,260 MSRP (Plus destination fee), SXT AWD $35,860 MSRP (Plus destination fee), GT RWD $37,460 MSRP (Plus destination fee), GT AWD $40,060 MSRP (Plus destination fee). For the R/T RWD $46,800 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and R/T AWD $49,400 MSRP (Plus destination fee). There is also the R/T AWD Tow and Go trim that starts at $54,395 MSRP (Plus destination fee). There is a new rear hatch spoiler added to the Durango that comes standard for owners.
Breaking Down the Changes To the Durango
The higher trims run a bit more expensive but come with more features like the redesigned, driver-focused cabin that adds an 8.4-inch or larger 10.1-inch touchscreen. The remaining trims include the Citadel, which comes in RWD for $49,300 MSRP or AWD for $51,900 MSRP (Plus destination fee). The former highest-trim, the SRT, is now known as the SRT 392 (like how Dodge has it for its muscle car lineup) that begins at $64,490 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and its standard all-wheel-drive. The high-end 2021 Dodge Durango is the all-new SRT Hellcat that supplies standard all-wheel-drive and starts at $82,490 MSRP.
Upgrades To Citadel and Higher Trims
Dodge has given a big boost to the Citadel trim that gains new leather seating and standard ventilation to the heating function, the larger 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, and TomTom navigation with new safety enhancements and driver assistance capabilities. An owner gains adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane driver assist and forward collision warning with active braking. Dodge also has brought a new option to the fold for customers, a Trailer-Tow Group IV option for $1,195 MSRP.
