The 2018 Longhorn Ram Rodeo Edition Is Ready For The State Fair!

Just in time for the State Fair of Texas, Ram is making headlines once again by debuting the all-new 2018 Heavy Duty Longhorn Ram Rodeo Edition. Available in the 2500 or 3500 models, the Ram Rodeo Edition builds on the Longhorn’s unique Southwestern theme by featuring a suede headliner that is paired with one-of-a-kind interior colors like Black and Cattle Tan.

Earning the title of “Luxury Pickup Truck of Texas” from the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA) for the second year in a row, the 2018 Longhorn Ram Rodeo Edition is the world’s benchmark for upscale pickup trucks. Not only does the Ram Rodeo Edition exhume some serious curb appeal, but there’s also no mistaking just what kind of beast the consumer is driving – especially with the notable “LONGHORN” badging that is stretched across the width of the tailgate. Exterior upgrades include body-colored bumpers and side-steps, along with the available six exterior colors that include Walnut Brown, Brilliant Black Crystal, Bright White, Pearl White, Delmonico Red, and Granite Crystal Metallic.

In addition to the diverse selection of exterior colors, the Ram Rodeo 2500/3500 single-rear-wheel models are stocked with 20-inch aluminum wheels with optional painted pockets, while the Ram 3500 dual-rear-wheel models feature 17-inch polished aluminum wheels. In true Ram fashion, the standard trailering equipment checks all the boxes in the work department. The Longhorn Ram Rodeo Edition comes with a fifth-wheel gooseneck trailer prep package and bed-view camera, providing owners a factory solution to view the hitch point for heavy duty trailers during hitching operations. The Longhorn Rodeo Edition also features exclusive rear air suspension technology for expert load leveling for hauling loads or towing trailers.

For the 2018 model year, the Heavy Duty Longhorn Ram Rodeo Edition offers two engine options – a 6.4-liter V8 engine and the 6.7-liter Cummins I6 diesel engine. Available with a crew cab or mega cab, in addition to all of the top-of-the-line features that the Ram Rodeo Edition has to offer, it is also available in 4×2 and 4×4 configurations. Needless to say, the legendary truck brand is highly preferred by ranchers and farmers in the Lone Star State and across the nation.

The Longhorn trim isn’t the only model gaining a special edition. Pricing for the 2500 model starts at $60,790 (plus destination fee) and the 3500 model starts at $71,260 (plus destination fee).
