Series of Changes to Come for 2022 Ram Models – Miami Lakes Automall Ram

Ram will be updating several vehicles within its lineup for the 2022 model year. The automaker has been on a roll lately with several of its vehicles receiving awards. For one, the 2021 Ram 1500 was rated first among light-duty pickups in a 2021 APEAL Study. The Ram 1500 TRX was also recognized as the Texas Truck of the Year. Ram has been steadily producing pickups and vehicles that outclass the competition. The automaker will now be updating its lineup with new technology like Stellantis’ Uconnect 5 infotainment system as well as some minor exterior style changes. There will also be new color schemes to choose from. We’ll dive into the specific changes, but it looks like Ram will continue to reign on top throughout 2022.

Changes to the 2022 Ram 1500

Ram will be making several changes to the 2022 Ram 1500. One of these is the inclusion of the all-new Uconnect 5 infotainment system provided by Stellantis. This system will be able to be used with the standard 8.4-inch touchscreen. It offers wireless smartphone connectivity as well as off-road and performance pages. It will also be used for over-the-air updates. Other updates to the 2022 Ram 1500 include a standard Ram Clean Air filtration system, a trailer hitch light, and new colors like Harvest Sunrise and Delmonico Red.

Ram will also be rebranding certain trims like the Limited 10th Anniversary Edition . The automaker will use 2021’s Limited Longhorn 10th Anniversary trim as 2022’s Longhorn SouthFork trim. It will offer standard features like a multi-function tailgate, a deployable step bed, and a Bed Utility package.

Changes to the 2022 Ram 1500 TRX

Ram will be making slight changes to the TRX. The automaker recently released the Ram 1500 TRX Ignition edition so it already comes equipped with upgraded performance, technology, and design attributes. Ram will be adding the TRX Level 2 equipment group as standard to the TRX Ignition. Ram will also make the 6.2L supercharged Hemi V8 available.

Changes to the 2022 Ram 2500/3500

Ram will be adding the color scheme ‘Harvest Sunrise’ for its heavier duty pickups. The 2500/3500 models will also come standard with an 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 infotainment screen. A 12-inch system will also be available. The Big Horn trim will receive an updated grille design and heavy-duty Limited trims with black interiors will be accompanied by a Black Onyx finish. One additional change is that the Trailer Tow package will include a hitch light and the tow mode will be available with a digital rearview mirror.

Changes to the 2022 Ram ProMaster

Ram will be upgrading their commercial 2022 Ram ProMaster van with a new drivetrain, a new driver information display, and the next-generation Uconnect infotainment system. Ram will also include additional safety features like retuned steering. For its engine, the ProMaster’s 3.6L V6 will come mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Inside, Ram has configured a new crew van setup that allows up to three passengers to fit in the second row. This adds an extra level of comfort to the commercial van.
