Ram 1500 Revolution Will Officially Debut
In January, Ram will unveil its all-electric Ram 1500 pickup truck at the 2023 Consumers Electronics Show (CES). The show will feature Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares, who will present the concept work for the Ram EV. Following the official reveal, Stellantis and Ram hosted a country-wide discussion called the Ram Real Talk Tour, in which they gathered feedback about the perfect EV pickup. Questions about range, capability, and charge time were discussed to find the most favorable solutions for consumers. Considering these aspects, the Ram 1500 EV aims to redefine the electric pickup truck segment and demonstrate where Ram aims to take its future EV lineup.
During the 2023 CES presentation, Stellantis CEO Tavares will discuss their vision for the future. This vision revolves around the Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 strategy, which aims to offer innovative, clean, and safe solutions that will help reduce global carbon emissions. These include electric vehicles like the Ram 1500 EV and the battery-electric Ram ProMaster Van. Many automakers are working toward EVs, but it will be the ones that offer the most reliability and capability that succeed.
The 2024 Ram EV prototype was recently spotted, giving some clues about what to expect at the 2023 CES. We know the Ram EV will utilize Stellantis’ EV platform, which can hold between 101 and 118 kWh batteries. The electric pickup is expected to offer up to 500 miles of battery range, and charging speeds will supposedly be as high as 150 kW. With the prototype spy shots, we know the Ram EV will feature an independent rear suspension along with coil springs. A new chassis is expected, and the truck appeared to have a longer wheelbase, a crew cab configuration, and a 6-foot 4-inch truck bed. For conclusive information, we’ll have to wait until the 2023 CES show on January 5th.
