The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander has Landed!
The new 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander has landed! That’s right, it’ll soon be on the streets and everyone wants one. Well, everybody who knows how great the Outlander is. Wait, you don’t know? Let us tell you about some of the great things you’ll find.
The Highlights
In the new 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander, drivers will find super all-wheel control (S-AWC) available on all trims (S-AWC is standard on the Outlander GT), modern tech such as a 7-inch smartphone link display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a 9-speaker Rockford-Fosgate premium audio system. The 2017 Outlander has comfortable 7-passenger seating, all with front dual-zone climate control, and safety features such as blind spot warning with rear cross traffic alert and lane change assist. Oh, and all four trims are riding in on 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels.
Engine and Fuel Economy
The first three trims, the Outlander ES, SE, and SEL are powered by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine integrated with MIVEC , Mitsubishi’s personal VVT design. This engine delivers up to 166-horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, with an EPA of 25/30 MPG city/highway. The Outlander GT S-AWC trim is powered by a 224-hp 3.0-liter MIVEC SOHC 24-valve V6 engine, with a fuel economy of 20/27 MPG city/highway.
Features
Several features come standard on all trims on the outside and the inside. The exterior comes with auto-off headlights, LED positioning lights, heated power side-view mirrors, rear window intermittent wipers, and rear privacy glass. The interior has a little more going for it, such as a 6.1-inch touch screen, an ECO indicator light, seven-passenger seating with three rows, a 60/40 split-fold second row, a 50/50 flat fold third row, rear heater floor ducts, and more.
Of course, drivers need a little convenience and entertainment to go with their new Mitsubishi Outlander. So Digital HD radio and a Hands-Free Link System with Bluetooth tech are included. Cruise control, a rearview camera, steering wheel mounted controls, and an ECO mode switch to save energy are some of the other convenient features.
Secure Safety
Mitsubishi has all the safety features drivers would want in their SUV, including several types of vehicle control including active stability and traction control, an anti-theft engine immobilizer, and a tire pressure monitoring system. More modern features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision mitigation, blind spot warning*, and lane departure warning come as options on the Outlander SEL and GT trims.
