Kia Corp Reveals Special Edition Kia Stinger and Kia K5

Kia Corp is proud of its latest sports cars added to the lineup. It starts with the Kia Stinger , released in 2018, and paving a new way for Kia Corp style and performance. Receiving a mid-cycle refresh, the Kia Stinger got upgrades for the 2022 model year of the Stinger sports car . In 2021, the Stinger was met with another contender for the belt, the Kia K5 , originally known as the Kia Optima. Also refreshed and renewed for its new generation, the Kia K5 was all the automaker could talk about, and was quickly collecting automotive awards like the Kia Stinger. Celebrating both, Kia Corp is releasing a 2022 Kia Stinger Scorpion Special Edition and 2022 K5 GT-Line AWD Premium Package.

2022 Kia Stinger Scorpion Special Edition

Starting now, limited batches of the 2022 Kia Stinger Scorpion Special Edition will be arriving in dealerships. Built exclusively for the U.S. market, Kia Corp will be delivering only 250 units per month, but once they’re all gone they are gone. Expected to sell out quickly, the Scorpion Special Edition is available on the Kia Stinger GT2 with rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). Consumers can pick one of three colors – Snow White Pearl, Aurora Black, and Ceramic Silver. Features added on for the Scorpion Special Edition include blacked out fender garnish, side mirror caps, and darkened exhaust tips; body-colored rear spoiler; 19-inch black wheels; and carbon fiber-pattern trim throughout the cabin. Consumers can also choose Red Nappa Leather or Black Nappa Leather for the upholstery.

Only available on the GT2, the starting MSRP for the Scorpion Special Edition with RWD is $52,585 (plus destination fee), and $54,785 (plus destination fee) for AWD.

2022 K5 GT-Line AWD Premium Package

Consumers always like to see a little something special available when it comes to a new model, and a premium package for the new Kia K5 is just what the sports car needed to add a little extra for sports car fans. The new GT-Line AWD Premium package will add a panoramic sunroof, heated steering wheel, and LED projection headlights. Plus, new safety features and additional driver assistance features are added, including Highway Driving Assist and Navigation Based Smart Cruise Control-Curve.

The Kia K5 is not without its convenience, offering new features on the GT-Line, EX and GT trims, such as a Surround View Monitor, additional wireless chargers, and navigation standard. Many new safety features have also been added, with most standard on all trims. These include Driver Attention Warning, Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist (not on the LX), Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (not on the LX), Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Lane Following Assist.

The 2022 Kia K5 is available in five trims, two of which can come with rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) – KX, LXS RWD, LXS AWD, GT-Line RWD, GT-Line AWD, EX, and GT.
