The Fourth Installment of the Ram Trucks “Built to Serve Edition” Pickups is Now Available

November 28th, 2020 by

Ram Trucks has dedicated its 2020 model year to various special edition trims, but none are as powerful and as sentimental as the “Built to Serve Edition” pickups that honor the different branches of the armed forces. This marks the fourth time this year that Ram rolls out one of its “Built to Serve” designs, this time inspired by a maritime land force-inspired theme. Tank and Flame Red are the exterior shades chosen and can be complemented with Medium Greystone accent stitching. The fourth installment of the “Built to Serve Edition” Ram pickups open now in December (2020) and is slated for production in early 2021 at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant.

“These ‘Built to Serve’ models offer a unique way to honor all those who serve or have served in the United States armed forces with distinction. Whether civilian or military, Ram truck owners are very familiar with this adage as it’s something we strive to build into every truck and van we produce,” said Mike Koval Jr., Head of Ram Brand.

Ram continues to launch a new “Built to Serve Edition” pickup, representing yet another one of America’s land, air, or sea-based military branches, every three months. By now, Ram has honored four of the five military service branches, with each variant given two specially selected exterior paint colors that are inspired by the mission and history of a given branch. The “Built to Serve Edition” Ram Trucks come in the following colors and limited numbers:

  • Gator (1,000 units) and Diamond Black Crystal (1,000)
  • Ceramic Gray (1,000) and Patriot Blue (1,000)
  • Anvil (1,250) and Billet Silver Metallic (1,500)
  • Tank (1,000) and Flame Red (1,000)
  • Spitfire (500) and Bright White (500)

Additionally, the Ram “Built to Serve Edition” pickup trucks include other interior and exterior features that set them apart, including a “Built to Serve” decal on each of the rear quarter panels and a United States flag. Stylish exterior cues include 20-inch aluminum wheels in a one-of-a-kind Technical Gray finish, while body-color wheel flares complete the exterior accents. There is also an all-black grille and surround, black-bezel premium lighting, and black bumpers. Completing the stealth look are black wheel-to-wheel side steps, black badges, and dual four-inch black exhaust tips.

On the interior of any “Built to Serve” Ram truck, prospective buyers can find accents representative of the corresponding military branch and matching color stitching in one of these various tones: Light Frost, Light Ambassador Blue, Medium Greystone, Orange, or Light Diesel Gray. Owners can display their military pride thanks to the “Built to Serve”-embroidered velcro panels on each front seat, with additional panels on each front seat inboard shoulder panel as well. Whether it be regimental, flags, name tapes or slogans, buyers can apply their own patches at their will.
