Recognition is in order for the Ram Trucks brand once again as U.S. News & World Report recently named Ram the Best Truck Brand for 2021. This is the second consecutive year that the pickup maker is deemed the Best Truck Brand of the Year. U.S. News & World Report’s Best Vehicle Brand awards take various brands (34 to be exact) into consideration, recognizing industry-wide standards and excellence for cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, and luxury vehicles.
“This recognition validates Ram Truck’s unrelenting efforts to deliver more value for our customers. It is immensely satisfying to have U.S. News & World recognize Ram Truck as the Best Truck Brand for a second consecutive year,” said Mike Koval, Head of Ram Brand, FCA — North America.
U.S. News & World Report compiles all credible published reviews and test drives, as well as safety and reliability data prior to publishing its definite rankings. After averaging the overall scores in each award class per brand, U.S. News Best Cars determines the award winners. Whatever brand earns the highest overall average score is then automatically named a winner in each respective category. Like we mentioned earlier, the overall final scores come directly from the U.S. News Best Cars rankings that compile safety scores, reliability data, and other feats ascertained by the automotive industry and press.
“Ram wins the Best Truck Brand award on the strength of the Ram 1500, which is one of the few trucks on the market that makes a case for itself as a work vehicle and daily driver. The Ram 1500 features a coil-over suspension that makes the Ram comfortable enough for commuting, but capable enough for serious towing and hauling. The Ram interior features a top-notch infotainment system with intuitive controls and a huge touchscreen. The interior of high-end Ram trims feature materials that keep pace with what luxury SUVs offer,” said Jamie Page Deaton, Executive Editor, U.S. News Best Cars.
Since launching as a stand-alone division in 2009, Ram continues to focus on meeting the demands of today’s modern truck buyers. Thanks to its full lineup of trucks — Ram 1500, Ram 2500/3500 Heavy Duty, Ram 3500/4500/5500 Chassis Cab, Ram ProMaster, and Ram ProMaster City — prospective buyers have plenty of models to choose from. Ram Truck builds pickups that get families where they need to go just as efficiently as they get hard work done.
Ram continues to outperform the competition with its current benchmarks for:
- Segment first 1,000 lb.-ft of torque with Cummins Turbo Diesel
- Towing capacity of 35,100 lbs. with Ram 3500
- Payload of 7,680 lbs. with Ram 3500
- Most luxurious: Ram Limited with real wood, real leather, and 12-inch Uconnect touchscreen
- Best ride and handling with exclusive link coil rear and auto-level air suspensions
- Most interior space with Ram Mega Cab
- Most capable full-size off-road pickup – Ram Power Wagon
- Most awarded light-duty truck in America
