Ram Brightens its 1500 Lineup with New Hydro Blue

Just before the end of the 2017 model year, Ram has introduced a final special-edition model, the 2017 Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport. Considering that Ram launched the 2017 Ram 1500 Sport Sublime Green earlier this year, the 2017 Ram 1500 one of the most brightest truck lineups available.

The new special-edition model is available in an electric blue hue that is more common on a high-powered sports car like a Chevy Corvette or Dodge Challenger than a pickup truck. Complementing the bright exterior color are a number of black accents on the vehicle’s Sport performance hood, Sport grille, body badging and headlight bezels.

The special-edition truck will be available on crew cab models equipped with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine that are equipped with a 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain. 4×2 models come standard with 20-inch polished aluminum wheels and 4×4 models come standard with 22-inch polished aluminum rims, and buyers have the option to upgrade 4×2 models with 20- or 22-inch gloss black aluminum wheels. Other optional features include black tubular side steps, the RamBox storage system, ParkSense and an Active Level air suspension.

The Hydro Blue color is also in the truck’s interior on the seat stitching, instrument panel, heated steering wheel and door trim. The seats are covered in black and they are embroidered with Ram’s head logos on the headrests, but buyers can also opt for black leather as well.

Production of the 2017 Ram 1500 Hydro Blue Sport is limited to 2,000 models and MSRP is $46,060 (plus destination fee).
