A Look at the Ram 1500 TRX RexRunner Concept – Miami Lakes Automall Ram

Ram saw a new concept vehicle revealed at the 2021 Speciality Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. The Ram 1500 TRX RexRunner was unveiled by Mopar, the Stellantis parts, service, and customer care division. The SEMA Show is a collection of manufacturers and buyers from different segments of the automotive industry. Together they share new parts, accessories, and concept vehicles. Over the years the Ram 1500 has done exceptionally well. The pickup has been highly rated by the Texas Motor Press Association as the Texas Truck of the Year and it has also been awarded the Light-Duty Pickup of the Year in a recent 2021 APEAL study. Now the iconic Ram pickup will be getting a new concept, the Ram 1500 TRX RexRunner. We’ll dive into the new concept pickup and see what Mopar has to offer.

Ram 1500 TRX RexRunner Revealed

Mopar unveiled the Ram 1500 TRX RexRunner at the 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The concept pickup is based on the Ram 1500 but it comes equipped with a layer of Mopar accessories and custom parts. These add an extra level of capability and durability. For its engine, the Ram TRX RexRunner comes equipped with a standard 6.2L Hemi V8 that’s capable of 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Providing the pickup its impressive ground clearance are 18×9-inch Black Rhino Chamber wheels wrapped in 37-inch Goodyear tires. These combined with the cool Ash Gray exterior finish and center stripe give the pickup a sporty look. The concept pickup also features TRX bedside graphics and the prominent Ram logo on the grille.

The Ram 1500 TRX RexRunner also features a RamBar that’s equipped with a pair of 14-inch TYRI rectangular LED lights. These LED lights are great for off-roading as they generate up to 4,300 lumens of light. At the rear, the truck gets a Mopar bed extender that flips inward. This helps with securing tools. There’s also a bed liner to protect cargo. Custom skid plates at the front help enhance the rough and rugged look of the pickup. They protect the truck’s underside and increase the approach angle up to 32.5 degrees while Mopar rock rails protect the side sills.

The TRX RexRunner also gets a custom black flip-top fuel-filler door that accentuates the truck’s toughness. Finally, the concept pickup features 5-inch Mopar exhausts in the rear as well as a Mopar bed step for easy access to the truck bed.
