2017 Ram Lineup – New Models and New Features

2016 is more than halfway over, which means 2017 Ram trucks models are coming. Here is the breakdown of the additions and changes to the new 2017 Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 lineups.

2017 Ram 1500 Lineup Changes

The 1500 Ram truck is a light-duty pickup truck that handles basic towing needs with ease. In 2017 Ram 1500 will be available in 11 different trims: Tradesman, Express, HFE, Big Horn, Lone Star, Sport, Rebel, Laramie, Laramie Longhorn, and Limited.

Aside from a new special-edition appearance package and a few additional features on the Ram Rebel and Laramie Longhorn trims, not much has changed to the 1500 model lineup. In 2017, the Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn will be equipped with LED lighting in the truck bed, Keyless Go entry and rain sensing wipers.

For the 2017 model year, the aggressive Ram Rebel model will get a few extra interior features that add a touch of luxury. For extra convenience, all Ram Rebel models will be equipped with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, a rearview backup camera, remote start and rear park assist.

Additionally, Ram is rolling out a special-edition Night Edition appearance package to the Ram 1500 lineup. This new package gives the Ram 1500 sharp, dark and factory-inspired look that is reminiscent of the Ram 1500 Black Express. The package includes blacked-out features, including all-black rims, grille and badging. The truck will also have black light bezels on the headlamps and taillights.

2017 Ram 2500 + 3500 Lineup

In 2017, there is one big engine change to a couple trims and two additional Ram 2500 models. Next year, the Ram 2500 and 3500 Laramie, Laramie Longhorn and Limited trims will be equipped with the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine, which is an excellent new change.

Debuting this fall is the new 2017 Ram 2500 Power Wagon, a powerful truck ready to get dirty. The fierce new truck has standard features perfect off-roading. Exterior off-roading equipment include 33-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, and a winch with a 12,000-pound capacity.

Following the debut of the all-mighty off-roading beast, the 2017 Ram Power Wagon, there is also a new Ram 2500 4×4 Off-Road Package. Available on Ram 2500 models that have a crew or mega cab and 4×4 configuration, the Off-Road Package adds equipment that enhances the trucks off-roading capabilities. Among some of the new features are Bilstein shocks, hill descent control, skid plates, tow hooks, and off-road tires.
