Calling all bargain shoppers!

The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander has arrived and at a more affordable price than its predecessors.

Stop by your neighborhood * Mitsubishi Outlander dealership * and test drive the new, improved, and shushed Outlander.

The 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander: A Three-Row Medium Build Crossover

Compared to the 2015 Outlander, the 2016 model year boasts some chassis and cabin enhancements, as well as exterior detailing from the new “Dynamic Shield” styling, which lays a thick band along the bottom portion of the Outlander’s doors and equips the crossover with 18-inch alloy wheels.

Across the back, you’ll find horizontal LED lamps, and the lift gate has been extended by an extra 1.5 inches- ideal for those of us tall folks who tend to catch our heads on the gate while loading groceries.

Standard 2016 Outlander equipment comes form the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, rated at 166 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque. But, the available 3.0-liter V6 engine, generating 224 horsepower and 215 lb.-ft. of torque boosts the horsepower rating to 224 with torque measuring 215 lb.-ft.

Various improvements – 31 to be exact – act as sound proofing in the Outlander, and even the doors close quieter than ever before, thanks to special hardware.

This Outlander handles better than its predecessors, owing to its stiffer structure.

Interior improvements include a new steering wheel, updated trim panels which rid the new Outlander of its previous fake wood, as well as attractive accent stitching.

The second row of seats is easier to manipulate and better accommodate passengers or other cargo. And while it does exist, the third row of seats is super cramped, evidenced by the fact that Mitsubishi has dubbed it “emergency” seating.

Dropped in price by $200, the Outlander is the second-most affordable crossover that seats seven passengers currently on the market, starting at the MSRP of $22,995.

Offered in three trim levels to help budget-conscious families get the most bang for their buck, the Outlander is available in the ES, SE, and GT models, but for the best value, industry experts tend to point towards the midrange SE line.

But the base model is impressively-equipped as well, with standard features like remote keyless entry, steering wheel-mounted infotainment controls, power accessories, automatic climate control, cruise control, six-speaker 140-watt sound system, and Bluetooth technology.

Of course, you can further customize your 2016 Outlander with a variety of packages and available options like the Premium package, priced at $1,900, which delivers satellite radio, a sunroof, power tailgate, and 710-watt Rockford Fosgate sound system.

The Outlander earned top safety results, making it an even more attractive option for families who want value without sacrificing passive and active safety features.

The super affordable and refreshed 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander crossover is worth the test drive.
