MPG and Tech in the New 2017 Mitsubishi Models
While some brands have yet to release one new 2017 model year car, Mitsubishi has stayed ahead of the game and has released all of their 2017 models — and it’s not even October! Here’s a recap of the new 2017 Mitsubishi models — they are loaded with tech and we love it.
2017 Mitsubishi i-Miev
First to hit the market was the fully-electric 2017 Mitsubishi i-Miev. The i-Miev is the most affordable electric car in the United States and it has a miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) of 121 in the city. The i-Miev has a variety of battery charging options, including a public quick-charger port that gives the car an 80 percent charge in just 30 minutes.
2017 Mitsubishi Mirage and Mirage G4
For the 2017 model year, the Mitsubishi Mirage lineup got a little bigger. In addition to the traditional hatchback Mirage, there is now an available Mirage G4, which is a four-door subcompact sedan. The Mirage G4 is at the top of its class in combined fuel efficiency and C02 emissions. To keep up with the ever evolving tech world, the Mirage G4 is equipped with smartphone integrations lie Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Both models are equipped with a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine that provides the Mirage with an average fuel economy of 37 mpg in the city and 43 mpg on the highway. As a slightly larger car, the Mirage G4’s fuel economy is at 35 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the highway.
2017 Mitsubishi Lancer
The new 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer has been given some extra updates for the upcoming model year. Though the Lancer still looks like the same five-passenger four-sedan that drivers love, it has some minor exterior changes, and a few in the interior as well. All 2017 Lancer models will come standard with an improved 6.1-inch digital display and a rearview backup camera. The base Lancer, Lancer ES, is now available with new 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels and new 18-inch two-tone alloy wheels have been added to the Lancer SE and SEL.
