New Kia Stinger Named 2018 Shift Vehicle of the Year

We’d stop talking about the Kia Stinger, if it stopped giving us things to talk about, but the chatter about the new model hasn’t slowed down yet. Last week, the new Kia Stinger was named the 2018 Shift Award Vehicle of the Year in the latest award ceremony hosted by _ Roadshow by CNET _ .

The award was given a year after the Kia Stinger debuted at the North American International Auto Show in 2017, and within the last year, the Stinger has received a lot of praise and it also arrived at dealerships like Miami Lakes Automall.

The Kia Stinger is a sleek high performance car that is nothing like the other models offered by Kia. The Stinger combines Kia’s efficient, modern and original engineering concepts with a new platform and the result is a fun-to-drive sports car.

The Kia Stinger is available with two engine choices, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 Lambda II engine. Of the two engines, the 3.3L twin-turbo V6 Lambda II engine produces the most horsepower and torque, so that is the better option for those looking for the most bang for their buck. The 3.3L engine produces 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque and the 2.0L turbocharged engine produces 255 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The 3.3L engine gives the Kia Stinger a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.7 seconds and the 2.0L gives the Kia Stinger a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 5.9 seconds.
