Kia Sends Off Stinger with Limited Tribute Edition
The Kia Corporation has been going through some interesting changes over the last few years, and most of them are positive. Yes, some people argue over the new Kia logo – the “m” is also part of the “k”, referencing back when Kia Corp was Kia Motors. With claims to become the next all-electric automaker , releasing the Kia EV6 all-electric vehicle is just the start. Also embracing performance as well as clean emissions, the automaker is also branching out into sports cars, with the Kia Stinger breaking ground where the Kia K5 now thrives. The Kia Stinger was the first new sports car by Kia, and it thrived for a short time. The exclusive Stinger Tribute Edition will be available soon.

Yes, it’s true. The Kia Stinger run is coming to an end. How exclusive is this Tribute Edition? Only 1000 units are supposed to be made available worldwide. Numbers for how many units will come to North America have yet to be disclosed, let alone the starting MSRP for this new entry into the lineup for the nameplate’s last model year. First released in 2017, the Kia Stinger was groundbreaking for the automaker, and now only two models, the popular GT and GT2, the Tribute Edition begins by building on the Stinger 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 GT2 specification.
The Kia Stinger Tribute Edition brings more to the aesthetic appeal of the sports car, adding an additional choice for paint finish. Joining the existing Ascot Green finish is a new Moonscape matte gray paint hue. Getting a little blacked-out treatment, a black finish can be found on the exterior mirrors, black Brembo brake calipers, and the 19-inch gloss black design wheels. Under the hood is a 3.3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 GT is able to generate 368 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. Inside, the Kia Stinger Tribute Edition features new materials to upgrade the feeling of the already spacious cabin – this thing felt like the cockpit of a spaceship, and the Bespoke Terracotta brown leather upholstery adds to the comfort. Extending the material to the steering wheel, door side trim, and door handles, the entire upper console comes with a carbon-effect finish. Also new, a wasp-shaped emblem embedded into the headrest of the seats, and to denote its rarity in the limited run, the door sill will come with a numbered plate for that unit’s number out of 1000. This is a common treatment for vehicles that will definitely never be made again. Following in its footsteps, Kia K5 is the new sports car for Kia Corp , but it’s all-electric EV6 GT isn’t pulling punches with its performance.
