About Juventus and Jeep
Juventus Football Club is an Italian soccer club that has been around since the late 1800s. It wasn’t until many, many decades later when the Chrysler Corporation merged with Fiat to create Fiat
Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), that Jeep began their sponsorship with the soccer team. Jeep and Juventus officially renewed their sponsorship for the 2015/2016 and their sponsorship contract will keep the two together until 2020/2021.
Though the two brands may seem fairly different there are a couple interesting similarities. The Juventus jerseys have always had black and white stripes, and that is a bit of a coincidence with the Jeep brand’s dedication to the iconic seven-slot grille design, which has been a part of Jeep since its beginnings in 1941. Though Jeep is American-based, they have a big influence in Italy since the merge with Italian automaker, Fiat, in 2011 and the Jeep Renegade, one of the most popular Jeep vehicles is actually made in Italy.
About David Trezeguet
David Trezeguet is a French retired soccer player who played for Juventus for many years. By the time Trezeguet retired in 2015, he had scored 138 goals in 245 league appearances for Juventus, making him the fourth-highest goalscorer in the club’s history. By the end of his career Trezeguet became a part of the FIFA 100 list of 125 Greatest living players and in 2015, he was named one of the Golden Foot Award Legends.
As the official sponsor of Juventus for some years, the Jeep family couldn’t be more excited to see Juventus play in Miami and to have a former player visit the dealership! We hope to see you here on July 26!
