Jeep Wrangler Trailcat Concept Recently Spotted Driving Around
Remember the Jeep Wrangler Trailcat concept from the 2016 Easter Jeep Safari? It was spotted on the streets recently, so we’re taking a walk down memory lane to remember it and all of its glory.
The Jeep Wrangler Trailcat is a beefed up Wrangler with the same supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 Hellcat engine in the Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat models. Yep, a 707-horsepower engine in a Jeep.
In addition to the super powerful engine, the Wrangler Trailcat has similar features to Jeep Trailhawk models. Other features on the Trailcat model include 39.5-inch Krawler T/A tires, a 12-inch larger wheelbase than a standard Wrangler model, a six-speed manual transmission, a vented hood, LED headlights, a roll cage, and so much more. Just look at it!

Back to the Wrangler Trailcat model or look-alike model that was recently spotted. We aren’t calling it a spy photo because nothing is really hidden. According to _ Four Wheeler _ there is a good chance this model has a high-output version of one of Jeep’s 4-cylinder engines and it produces more than 300 horsepower.
Unfortunately there are no plans from Jeep for a Wrangler Trailcat in the future, but, if you are looking for a trail ready Jeep, why not check out one of the five available Jeep Trailhawk models – the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk, Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, Cherokee Trailhawk, Renegade Trailhawk or the Compass Trailhawk? They all come with off-road ready features like:
- A suspension lift (height varies on model)
- Tow hooks (two in the front and on in the rear)
- Larger wheels and all-terrain tires
- All-weather floor mats
- A selec-terrain system that allows you to choose driving mode (snow, sand, rock, auto, and mud)
The list goes on and on. If you are interested, check out our inventory at Miami Lakes Jeep here .
