Jeep Announces Pricing for the All-new 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392
Jeep made quite the splash when the automaker finally delivered for its most ardent fans with the all-new 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392, the first V8-powered Wrangler in decades. Accents and features include a 6.4-liter V8 with 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft. Of torque, a functional hood scoop, a sport steering wheel with shift paddles, leather-covered performance seats, a dual-mode performance exhaust, and a full-time 4×4 system along with a long list of premium standard features. Jeep recently announced pricing for the model and the launch edition of this on- and off-road ready beast starts at $73,500 (plus destination fee).
“Our Jeep enthusiasts asked us for a Wrangler powered by a V8 engine, and we listened. The result is the quickest and most powerful Jeep Wrangler yet, loaded with standard off-road rugged terrain. This new Jeep wrangler Rubicon 392 broadens the meaning of Jeep Wrangler 4×4 capability and gives off-road enthusiasts something they can’t get anywhere else backed by the factory: V8 performance and a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds,” said Jim Morrison, Vice President, Jeep Brand North America.
Not only does the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 come with a standard 392-cubic-inch, 470-horsepower V8 engine, it’s also loaded with standard equipment such as:
- A functional hood scoop that works with the existing Hydro Guide air intake system to feed cooler outside air to the engine, but it also separates water — up to 15 gallons per minute — that enables the Rubicon 392 to water ford up to 32.5 inches deep.
- An active dual-mode exhaust system that delivers an undeniable V8 engine sound. Designed to engage automatically under higher engine loads to reduce exhaust pressure, it can also be activated by the driver with the simple press of a button.
Additional changes that take the model to the top include a 2-inch factory lift, unique suspension geometry, FOX high-performance shocks, and upgraded frame rails. Downhill descents are no problem for the Rubicon 392’s V8 engine thanks to a revised transmission torque converter and a 48:1 crawl ratio that work in tandem to manage the vehicle’s speed without the driver having to touch the brake pedal. On the inside, prospective buyers will find leather seats with bronze Rubicon 392 stitching, along with a performance-inspired and leather-wrapped steering wheel with wheel-mounted paddle shifters — a first for the Jeep Wrangler model. The Uconnect infotainment system comes standard and includes an 8.4-inch touchscreen display and Jeep’s Off-road Pages feature that allows drivers to monitor pitch, roll, GPS coordinates, altitude, and drivetrain power distribution among other features.
Additional features on the 2021 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 include:
- Leather interior
- Body-color hardtop
- Body-color flares
- Infotainment Group
- HD electrical switch bank
- Advanced Safety Group
- Remote proximity entry
- Safety Group
- LED Lighting Group
- Cold Weather Group
- Steel Bumper Group
Additionally, prospective buyers can also add the following optional perks to their Wrangler Rubicon 392 launch edition: an integrated off-road camera, a Sky One-Touch Power Top, Trailer Tow Package, various all-terrain tire packages, Dual Door Group, and Dual Top Group. The model is slated to arrive in dealerships this fall (2021).
