The 2020 Dodge Journey is known as America’s most affordable midsize crossover, but still offers more than just about any other vehicle in the segment. The Journey goes against the grain of every tradition mid-size SUV, its the only midsize crossover that offers seven-passenger seating. Equipped with over 40 available safety and security features, drivers of the Journey know they have a safe, reliable vehicle. The 2020 Dodge Journey is also quite modern with the latest Uconnect 8.4 Navigation available a powertrain that supplies owners with a complete, top-notch driving experience. We’re happy to show off the latest Journey and we look forward to seeing the next generation of the Journey coming down the road.

On the Horizon For the Dodge Journey

The future of the Dodge Journey is expected to see efforts to improve the powertrain, which is currently solid with its 2.4-Liter four-cylinder 172 horsepower and 165 lb-ft of torque. Speaking on behalf of the Dodge Journey, Mopar Insiders has slated the next-generation Journey to come in 2022 or as an early 2023 model. Currently, the Journey is using an 11-year old platform that looks to upgrade sooner rather than later. A change to a rear-wheel-drive is expected to help promote stronger on-road handling, but some speculate an all-wheel-drive option will be made. Other expectations will include a shorter Journey than the current 184.5-inch version currently being sold.

The 2020 Journey SE Is A Solid Option

The 2020 Dodge Journey is priced at a low starting price of $25,905 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and offers two trim options. The base SE comes with excellent standard features like rear park assist and six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, Uconnect with Voice Command and Bluetooth capabilities, SiriusXM satellite radio, three-zone climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and leather-wrapped shift knob.

Upgrade to the Crossroad Trim

The Crossroad trim includes a standard sunroof and the available Popular Equipment Group package includes a universal garage door opener, a subwoofer added to the six-speaker audio system, remote start, heated front seating, and heated steering wheel, plus navigation. The Crossroad trim begins at $31,255 MSRP (Plus destination fee). Both trims provide a solid 19 city mpg and 25 highway mpg.
