New SUV and Minivan Hybrids Soon Arriving at Miami Lakes Automall

Get ready to plug-in folks, Miami Lakes Automall will soon have two new hybrids, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid and the 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV.

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV should be available first, and we hope to see it by late summer or early fall. While we have had the all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica available since the spring, it’s more fuel-efficient sibling, the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid will come to our showroom during the second half of 2016.

These hybrids are particularly exciting because they are both products that have never been seen in the U.S. before. The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is a 4WD SUV that can be powered by an all-electric, hybrid or gas engine. The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid is the first ever hybrid minivan.

Here’s a Quick Run Down on Both Vehicles

The 2017 Pacifica Hybrid runs on a a 16-kWh battery that can be fully charged in as little as two hours, and when that runs out of juice, its award-winning Pentastar 3.6L V6 engine will kick in. The minivan horsepower clocks in at an estimated 248-horsepower. It has a 30-mile range running on only electric power, so those 30 miles mean zero emissions. And when in hybrid mode the minivan has a combined fuel efficiency of 80 MPGe.

The 2017 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV can be powered by its 2.0L 4-cylinder gas engine or its 12-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, or a hybrid mode of both. The Outlander PHEV’s battery can reach an 80% charge in about a half-hour. The vehicle can travel 32 miles running solely on battery power. With a full tank of gas and a full charge the Outlander PHEV can travel over 500 miles. The Outlander PHEV has seating for five and it is the only available hybrid SUV with 4-wheel drive.

With the range of these cars, all we can ask is, “road trip?”
