Chrysler Ready to Evolve Through Innovation – Miami Lakes Automall Chrysler

May 25th, 2015 by

Chrysler dealerships never struggle to sell vehicles. From cars to SUVs, this automaker remains one of the most successful in the world.

In the years to come, just the same as the competition, Chrysler will be forced to make some big changes to its vehicle lineup. The reason? To meet new federal emission regulations.

Of course, Chrysler is not backing down from the challenge. The company has shifted its approach many times over the years, and is expected to do so again over the next decade.

For example, a plug-in hybrid Chrysler Town and Country could for the 2017 model year. This may sound crazy, but it is the wave of the future. The government wants automakers to spend more time, money, and resources on making their vehicles more fuel efficient, and that is exactly what Chrysler is doing.

Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat Chrysler, noted the following :

“If you look at the way we get evaluated from an emissions standpoint, [plug-ins] are most beneficial to the fleet. Electrification is coming, whether you like it or not.”

It is hard to argue with this assessment by Marchionne. The government is forcing change, and automakers have no choice but to comply. While it will be a challenge, companies like Chrysler have the resources and brain power necessary to reach all its goals. In the end, everybody is a winner.

2025 Will Be Here Soon

Chrysler is not the only automaker faced with big changes over the next 10 years. Every other manufacturer will have to spend billions of dollars in an attempt to develop and sell the next-generation of fuel-efficient vehicles.

Fuel economy regulations are changing and expected to reach its peak by 2025. This is why now is the best time for automakers to consider new technology, such as the use of lighter material and battery power.

Go back to the early days of Chrysler and the company was nothing like you see today. It continues to evolve with each passing year, and the next decade or so is going to be exciting. This is when people will truly realize that the automotive industry is changing.

If you want to get a glimpse of this change for yourself, check out one of the many Chrysler dealerships in your area. You will soon realize that this automaker has already began to make some major changes (all for the better).
