Wondering which three-row SUV is the best on the market? Take a close look at the Chevy Traverse, an attractive crossover that provides three-row seating, has installed the latest technology available and setting monthly records for the last nine months. The 2019 Chevy Traverse is all-new, now in its second-generation, with a user-activated heated steering wheel and new Premier badge for the tailgate. Let’s take a look into the various trims and what makes the Chevy Traverse a must-own for those looking for a large SUV.
Overview of the Chevy Traverse
The Chevrolet Traverse is a full-size sports utility vehicle that is the among the biggest SUVs currently offered by Chevy; only the Chevy Suburban is larger. The current model was introduced for the 2018 model year and represents the second generation of the Traverse. Compared to the first-generation, the all-new Traverse is bigger, yet lighter and sleeker. Chrome accents are stylish all through out the exterior design and the bold design has never looked better. Perhaps, best of all, the Chevy Traverse appears more up-to-date and modern inside. There are also two new trim levels, including High Country and RS with the 2019 model year.
The 2019 Chevy Traverse carries a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and comes with front-wheel-drive. Drivers can choose all-wheel-drive options, all of which come with the 3.6-Liter Pentastar engine. The Pentastar engine is universally used in multiple Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) vehicles and is a reason the Chevy Traverse won the “Parents and Edmunds 10 Best Family Cars of 2018” as the reliable engine pairs with comfortable seating up to eight people.
Into the Traverse
The Chevy Traverse begins with the L trim, which comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission, a standard rear-view camera and LED daytime running lamps. The next trim is the LS trim, which is equipped with a tri-zone automatic climate control with premium cloth seating. The LT Cloth trim includes fog lamps, an 8-way adjustable power driver seat with power lumbar control. The LT Leather trim improves upon the previous trims with leather seating, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert and an 8-inch color touchscreen.
The RS trim is the second highest trim. The RS trim provides a 10-speaker Bose premium sound system, Chevy’s MyLink with an 8-inch touchscreen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. The Premier trim is the highest trim with perforated leather-appointed seating with wireless charging for smartphone devices. The RS trim comes with leather seats that are heated and ventilated up front.
The available rear entertainment system offered by Chevy includes digital headphones, a drop-down screen with an HDMI connection to the drop-down screen. The all-new Chevy Traverse allows owners to have space for just about anything with 98.2 cubic feet of max cargo space. The available Dual SkyScape 2-panel power sunroof is beautiful and allows for passengers to enjoy a wonderful view above with every drive. Enhanced Smart Slide second-row seating makes it easy to move the second-row seating in a hassle-free experience. Guests will love how easy it is to enter the back seat with this nifty feature. Hidden storage compartments make stowing away items easy to create more space for guests.
The highest trim is the High Country, which comes with 20-inch polished wheels. All-wheel-drive system with adaptive cruise control. IntelliBeam automatic high beam assist as well. The high beams will turn on and off when needed as assessed by the Chevy Traverse. The High Country trim begins at $53,000 MSRP (plus destination fee).
Available Traverse Packages
Available packages make for further improvements with the all-new 2019 Chevy Traverse. Changes have happened from the previous model as the Cargo Package no longer includes an LPO-level integrated cargo liner, which will now be included in the Floor Liner Package. The Premium Carpet Mat Package is now only available on High Country (2LZ) models. Formerly, this was available on LS, LT and 1LZ trims. There’s also the available Redline edition that gets owners 20-inch High-Gloss Black wheels with red accents, black bowtie emblems with signature black and red badging and a signature black ice grille with a fog lamp bezel.
With so much to appreciate and admire, it’s no wonder why the latest Chevy Traverse is the buyer’s choice among the three-row SUV segment. The 2019 Chevy Traverse begins at $29,930 MSRP (plus destination fee) and there’s one dealership ready to help make owning one possible.
