The new 2019 Chevrolet Camaro is ready for customers to take home. For over fifty years, the Chevy Camaro has become a legendary vehicle. The latest edition is complete with multiple powertrain options, and there’s no denying the flexibility now offered with the 2019 Camaro. A mid-cycle refresh for the Chevy Camaro produces new front fascia for LS, LT, RS and SS trims. For all trims, the rear fascia includes sculpted LED taillamps, new 19-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels and a new rear camera mirror. The LS and LT trims receive LED taillamps with red lenses and the SS and ZL1 trims have LED taillamps with dark-tinted neutral-density, clear lenses. The real changes that are exciting are the bumps in horsepower and powertrain options for the new 2019 Chevy Camaro.

What’s Under the Hood?

The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro has four gasoline engine options, the first of which is a 2.0-Liter LTG Turbo I4 rated at 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque standard for the 1LS, 1LT and 2LT and as an option for the 3LT. The six-speed manual transmission is standard on all trims. With the 3.6-Liter LGX naturally-aspirated V6 rated at 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque, optional on 1LT and 2LT trims and standard for the 3LT. The eight-speed automatic is available on the LS and LT trims. The 2019 Chevy Camaro is solely exclusive with rear-wheel-drive.

There are two 6.2-Liter powertrains available with the 2019 Chevy Camaro. The 6.2-Liter LT1 naturally-aspirated V8 has 455 horsepower with 455 lb-ft of torque standard for the 1SS and 2 SS trims. For the SS and ZL1 trims, a 10-speed automatic transmission is available and pairs wonderfully on the premium engine, the other 6.2-Liter powertrain. The 6.2-Liter LT4 supercharged V8 gets 650 horsepower with 650 lb-ft of torque standard.

What Else Is New With The 2019 Chevy Camaro?

The 2019 Chevy Camaro comes in three new exterior body paint colors – Satin Steel Gray Metallic, Shadow Gray Metallic and Riverside Blue Metallic. Drivers will gain a sophisticated Driver Selector Mode with four modes available for various driving conditions. Snow/Ice, Tour, Sport, and Track (SS and ZL1 trims only) are the several modes. Depending on the weather, the driver can easily switch their driving mode to adapt to the surroundings outside.

The interior has switched up from the Chevrolet MyLink infotainment systems to the latest Chevy infotainment system, the third-generation Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. The rear view camera is standard for only the 2SS and ZL1 and only available for those trims.

For those looking for a new 2019 Chevrolet Camaro, the base trim 1LS Coupe begins at just $25,000 MSRP (plus destination fee) and comes stock with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine provides 275 horsepower with 295 lb-ft of torque. With 20 city and 30 highway MPG, the Camaro is fuel efficient for a performance car. The rush of driving one and owning the road is more fun with a Camaro.
