The all-new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was introduced at an event

We don’t have to speculate much on any rumors concerning the upcoming 2019 Chevy Silverado, the newest pick-up from Chevy. To celebrate over 100 years of Chevy trucks, a helicopter brought the new 2019 Chevy Silverado to the Texas Motor Speedway during the Chevy Truck Centennial event. The truck is to officially debut next month at the North American International Auto Show.

* * The 2019 Silverado will be available in eight trims and there will be various engine/transmission options to choose from, providing more options than before. Chevy has also acknowledged they’ll vamp up their technology, offer additional convenience features and improve on the previous year.

* * Rumors have it that the 2019 Silverado will offer more engine and transmission options, like the new 10-speed automatic currently found in the 2018 Tahoe and Suburban with the 6.2-liter L86 V-8 with 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Speculation is that there will also be a range of diesels available.

* * Speculation as to the materials used that make up the truck’s bed is unknown, but those details on the Silverado’s specifics, including weight savings from the previous year will be available in January 2018. Some rumors are that the bed will be lined with some new carbon fiber composite. Time will tell, but we’ll know soon.
