Happy 50th to the Chevrolet Camaro

Happy New Year! Now that it is officially 2017 we can say Happy 50th Anniversary to the Chevrolet Camaro. Yep, believe it or not the American car icon, the Chevy Camaro has been around since 1967. To celebrate the past 50 years, Chevrolet put out a special-edition 2017 Chevy Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition and it isn’t hard to love.

The Chevrolet Camaro was originally designed to compete with the Ford Mustang, and the two have been competing ever since. Throughout the six generations of the Camaro it has changed and grown a lot, yet it’s never been far from its muscle car roots.

Exterior

The exterior of the Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition is dark, aggressive and sleek. The exterior paint color is an exclusive special-edition Nightfall Gray metallic, and the convertible models match that with a black top. To spice up the exterior, Chevy chose a unique orange hue for various accents around the car like the brake calipers, and striping on the hood and rear. Other exclusive features include 20-inch 50th Anniversary Edition wheels and wheel center caps, a satin chrome accented grille and a body-colored front splitter. Additionally, the 2LT trim special edition includes a RS appearance package, and all trims of course come with unique 50th Anniversary badging.

Interior

The interior of the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro 50th Anniversary Edition feels like a true race car cockpit! A sleek black interior goes throughout the car with suede inserts in the seats. The orange accents on the exterior are also seen in the stitching and logos on the seats. There are other distinctive 50th Anniversary Edition touches on the door sills, steering wheel, seat backs and instrument panel.
