Earlier this month Chevy introduced a new special edition Tahoe and Suburban and it’s pretty snazzy. The special edition is known as the RST or Rally Sport Truck and it is built for those who want to give their truck a slightly different look. The Tahoe RST is also available with the brand new performance package, which comes with a 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine.

The biggest difference from this edition and other Tahoe and Suburban models is that all the chrome trims and accents are replaced with black for the aggressive style of a Rally Sport Truck. Exclusive features of the RST include 22-inch wheels wrapped in Bridgestone tires, a body-color grille (as opposed to the chrome grille), black roof-rails, gloss-black mirror caps, and black badging and black Chevy bowties.

Other available upgrades included with the RST package include a Borla exhaust system (which offers 28 percent improvement of exhaust flow and increases horsepower by about 7-10 horses) and brake package that includes massive Brembo brake.

As previously mentioned, buyers of the Tahoe RST also have the option of adding the 420-horsepower performance package. This package includes a 6.2-liter V8 engine, 10-speed automatic transmission, active fuel management, VVT technology, magnetic ride control and performance calibration. This is the first time the Tahoe will be available with the 6.2-liter V8 engine.
