Chevy Celebrates Corvette’s Anniversary with Carbon 65 Package
Next year is a huge year for the Chevy Corvette because 2018 is the vehicle’s 65th anniversary! Over the years Chevy has followed the typical anniversary traditions, like a Silver Corvette for the 25th anniversary and a Gold Corvette for the 50th anniversary, but for this anniversary, Chevy is making a new tradition. Chevy is going to celebrate the Corvette’s 65th anniversary with a carbon fiber package called the Corvette Carbon 65.
The package will be available on the classiest and highest trim of ‘Vette models, the 2018 Chevy Corvette Grand Sport 3LT and Z06 3LZ models. Here’s a look at the 2018 Chevy Corvette Carbon 65 Package highlights.
- Production will be limited to 650 models worldwide.
- The exterior is painted in a Ceramic Gray paint with special “CARBON 65” badging on the doors, kick plate and fender.
- Complete carbon fiber trim (duh!). Visible carbon fiber effects can be seen on the spoiler and part of the hood.
- Coupes will have a carbon fiber roof and intake ducts, and convertibles will have a blue soft top.
- The seats are black suede with blue stitching and other interior components are a glossy carbon-fiber trim, and the steering wheel will be covered in carbon fiber as well.
The price for a 2018 Chevy Corvette Carbon 65 package is an additional $15,000 above the starting price for the car and models will start becoming available in summer 2017.
