There has been plenty of news in the automotive world surrounding automakers bringing back old names. For example, it looks like Dodge is bringing back the Barracuda name and Ford may be bringing back the Bronco and Ranger and now it looks like Chevy may do the same!

In 2019, Chevy has plans to bring the Blazer name for a new midsize SUV and there are spied shots of the SUV on the internet. Based on the photos and industry rumors it appears this SUV will be built off the C1XX platform, the same as GM’s Cadillac XT5, Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia. Spied shots show the Chevy Blazer looking like a two-row, five-seater SUV perfect for small families.

The engine specs are still based on speculation. However, it is likely that the Blazer will be available with the same engine in the GMC Acadia, which is a 193-horsepower 2.5-liter I-4 engine. Another possible engine option could be the engine in the Chevy Equinox, which is a 252 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque 2.0-liter turbocharged I-4 engine.

More photos and information about the Chevy Blazer should be coming in full by next year, possibly at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show according to _ Four Wheeler _ . We are looking forward to learning more about the Blazer!
