chevy vehicles initial quality highest ranking

As you might already know from our post last week regarding the highest ranked in Initial Quality vehicles at Miami Lakes Automall from Strategic Vision, the Chevy brand really came through! Four vehicles including the Colorado, Corvette (coupe and convertible both won), SS and Malibu Hybrid. Wondering what’s so special about these vehicles? Read on!

Chevy Colorado

The Chevy Colorado is an awesome truck option! It is small, but has plenty of room, it comes with endless tech and style features (both standard and upgrades) and it is one of the most reasonably priced trucks on the market. Check out these highlights::

* The Colorado has a starting price of just $20,000.
* The Colorado is available with a few engine options including the base 2.5-liter I4 DOHC VVT engine, an upgraded 2.8-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel I4 engine and the 3.6-liter V6 DOHC VVT engine. Horsepower varies between 181 and 308 horses and torque varies between 191 and 363 lb-ft depending on the engine.
* The Colorado is available in four-wheel drive or rear-wheel drive and its towing capacity ranges from 3,500 to 7,000 pounds depending on the chosen engine!
* Safety is a priority and the Chevy is loaded with standard features including a rear vision camera, daytime running lights, teen driver mode and StabiliTrak (a stability control system).
* There is plenty of standard entertainment tech in the Colorado as well like a six-speaker audio system and USB and Aux capabilities. Upper level trims come with an 8-inch touch screen, Chevy MyLink with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and bluetooth connection, and so much more.

Chevy Corvette

Vroom vroom! The Corvette and Corvette Convertible is where style meets unbeatable performance and capability. The Corvette comes with amazing features like:

  • The Chevy Corvette comes with one amazing engine, a 6.2-liter V8. However, just because all models have the same engine, does not mean they have the same power and torque! Due to performance upgrades with different trim levels, the Corvette can produce between 455 and 650 horsepower and 460 to 650 lb-ft of torque.
  • There are three options including the Corvette Z06, Stingray and Grand Sport. These models vary in power and features, but each of them is as luxurious and amazing as the next.
  • The Corvette Stingray is the base model with the most affordable price sticker. However, even the base model comes standard with 19-inch silver painted wheels, Super Sport tires, Brembo performance brakes, a steel exhaust and so much more.
  • Technology in this model is unsurpassed. The Corvette comes with OnStar Guidance for those “just in case” situations. The car also comes with a rear vision camera and teen driver mode standard! A Bose nine-speaker system, MyLink system with an eight-inch touch screen, and 4G LTE Wifi are all standard as well.

Chevy SS

The SS is another beautiful yet powerful beast sold by Chevy! Plus, it is a sedan, so it is great for families! Check it out:

  • The SS comes with one and only one 415 horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine, wow!
  • Not only is the engine fantastic, but the standard performance features are great as well. A magnetic ride suspension, brembo-brakes, dual-mode exhaust, and a manual shift transmission are all part of the reason why the car goes 0 – 60 in just 4.7 seconds.
  • Available Wifi, a color heads up display, the Chevy MyLink system and touchscreen, and a 9-speaker premium Bose speaker system are some of the features that stand out when it comes to the tech in the SS.
  • In addition, the vehicle is very safe and comes with automatic parking assist, a rearview camera, StabiliTrak and so much more.

Chevy Malibu Hybrid

Are your more of the environmentally friendly type than truck or performance type? Not to worry, the Malibu Hybrid made it on the list for a reason!

  • The Malibu Hybrid comes with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine is paired with a 1.5 kWh lithium ion battery. The fuel efficiency is phenomenal, 49 city and 43 highway. The Malibu Hybrid can produce up to 182 horsepower.
  • Not only is the hybrid capable, but also very affordable in its category. The Malibu Hybrid starts at just $27,875.
  • Of course just like the other models, the hybrid comes with teen driver mode, a rear view camera and stability control! The standard entertainment tech for this car includes SiriusXM satellite radio, MyLink with a 7-inch touchscreen, and a 4G LTE built in WiFi hotspot.
