J.D Power Initial Quality

The J.D. Power Initial Quality study and awards is a widely known and highly trusted system in the automotive world. With that being said, being recognized in this study is a huge deal. In 2017, Ram scored the highest marks in overall design quality, accessories, interior design quality and interior design quality in the pickup category. The Ram truck brand was also the most improved brand with an increase of 28 points on the scoring scale.

Gold Hitch Award

The 2017 Ram 3500 won the Gold Hitch award from _ The Fast Lane Truck _ . Before winning the award, the truck must complete the Eisenhower Pass “Ike Gauntlet” trail. The trail in Colorado requires the truck to climb up 11,000 feet, while hauling a fully-loaded gooseneck trailer. The Ram 3500 with the 6.7-liter Cummins diesel power engine was able to do so with ease, which is why it won the award and beat other pickups like the Ford Raptor. _ The Fast Lane Truck _ says the trucks won because it had confident downhill performance as well as consist uphill climbing and observed fuel mileage over the competitors.

Active Lifestyle

The Ram 1500 Rebel is a big winner as well! This off-road capable Ram 1500 trim won the Carspondent.com Active Lifestyle Vehicle award. The vehicle won based on its outdoor-friendly features like 33-inch tires, Bilstein shocks, skid, plates, tow hooks and more. The vehicle comes with a capable 4X4 drivetrain and it is available with a 3.6-liter V6 engine or a 5.7-liter V8 HEMI engine.
