Ram Chassis Cab Options and Highlights
The Ram Chassis Cab is a part of Ram’s commercial vehicle lineup and is available on the 3500, 4500 and 5500 models. Built for commercial needs that often don’t require a truck bed, chassis cab trucks only have “ chassis ” rails and a “ cab .”
Ram’s chassis cab lineup includes 12 different configurations, all of which come with some great features. Aside from the 3500 Chassis Cab, which has a single-rear wheel (SRW) option, Ram Chassis Cabs come standard with which Chassis Cab fits your business needs depends on what you need to haul and what kind of features you need. Chassis Cab Tradesman Model Highlights
3500 Single-Rear Wheel (SRW) 10K GVWR Tradesman
- A front/rear park assist system.
- 50,000 PSI rear frame strength.
- A standard 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine.
- 18-inch wheels
- 40/20/40 split folding bench seats.
- A maximum towing capacity of 17,920 pounds with a maximum payload of 4,200 pounds.
3500 Tradesman
- A best-in-class 74 gallon fuel tank.
- An electronically controlled throttle.
- 17-inch wheels
- A maximum towing capacity of 22,770 pounds, and max payload of 7,640 pounds.
- The same frame, engine, and folding seats are featured with this model as well.
4500 Tradesman
- A standard 6.7-liter Cummins Turbo Diesel I6 engine.
- 19.5-inch dual rear wheels.
- A heavy-duty anti-spin rear differential.
- A maximum towing capacity of 24,650 along with a max payload of 9,660.
5500 Tradesman
- All the features are the same as the 2500 Tradesman, but towing and payload maximums.
- The maximum towing capacity for the 5500 is 29,600 pounds and a max payload of 12,480 pounds.
Chassis Cab SLT Model Highlights
3500 SRW 10K GVWR SLT
- Standard heated exterior mirrors.
- 18-inch chrome clad wheels.
- All mechanical and towing features remain the same as with the Tradesman trim.
3500 SLT
- 18-inch aluminum wheels.
- All mechanical features remain the same.
4500 SLT
- 19.5-inch dual rear wheels.
- Mechanical features remain the same as the 4500 Tradesman trim mentioned above.
5500 SLT
- Standard 19.5-inch diesel I6 Engine rear wheels.
- The rest of the mechanical and towing features remain the same as the Tradesman SLT.
Chassis Cab Laramie Model Highlights
3500 SRW 10K GVWR Laramie
- 18-inch polished aluminum wheels.
- Available features like leather-trimmed seats and upgraded entertainment technology.
- The mechanical and towing features are unchanged.
3500 Laramie
- 17.6-inch aluminum wheels.
- Available highest level entertainment technology like the 8.4 UConnect system.
- Mechanical and towing features unchanged.
4500 Laramie
- Premium power driver and passenger seats with Driver’s memory.
- Available high level technology.
- Mechanical and towing unchanged.
5500 Laramie
- Standard heated exterior mirrors.
- Highest trim level available technology.
- Mechanical and towing features again are unchanged.
