The Newest Face of the Jeep Lineup is Making Waves – Miami Lakes Automall Jeep
For a long time, Jeep limited its lineup to a few select models. Drivers became accustomed to the simplicity and narrowness of the Jeep brand, and were largely content with Jeep’s desire for complacency. Just as the American automotive industry got comfortable, Jeep decided to shake things up with all-new vehicle offerings. Stepping away from their three staple models – the Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler, Jeep took a bold step out of the box and introduced new models to its lineup. The newer models were not immediately accepted by die-hard Jeep enthusiasts, but the variety in the new lineup had the rest of car buyers intrigued. The iconic brand known for off-road capability, was winning over drivers who had never considered a Jeep vehicle in the past.
Today there are plenty of Jeeps for sale , with seven different models available for 2016. With this amount of variety, Jeep has managed to be a genuine competitor in segments that were not previously included in their lineup. While there are a lot of great new Jeep models to talk about, we are most intrigued by Jeep’s latest addition – the Renegade.
Meet the Jeep Renegade
We realize that the Renegade was first introduced over a year ago, but with all of the current attention it is receiving, we thought we would reintroduce the compact crossover. Before Jeep began offering alternatives to the adventurous Wrangler and large Grand Cherokee, their customer base was limited. While the brand had no problems selling vehicles, they were missing out on entire populations of buyers in different segments. The Renegade was created to offer a unique take on a fast-growing segment. The compact crossover is immediately recognizable as a Jeep brand vehicle, and was designed to appeal to drivers who want both practicality and style.
Engine Options
Featuring the option of either a MultiAir 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine, or a 2.4-liter four-cylinder, the Renegade is capable of putting out 180 horsepower, and 175 lb.-ft. of torque. Paired with a standard nine-speed automatic transmission, the 2016 Renegade starts off at an MSRP of just $18,900.
Trail Rated Performance
For drivers who crave that same adventurous spirit Jeep is known for, can opt for the fully capable Trailhawk model of the Renegade. Featuring Jeep’s famous “Trail Rated” badge, the Renegade Trailhawk includes a Best-in-Class four-wheel drive system, hill descent control, Selec-Terrain traction control, red tow hooks, 17-inch wheels, and unique front and rear fascias. This fully capable Renegade model has the highest sticker price, starting at $27,140. This may seem high for the segment, however Jeep drivers know that the true value comes in the capability and quality that only Jeep vehicles can offer.
Unexpected Efficiency
The 2016 Jeep Renegade is by no means small. It’s size is perfect for those who need more room than what a sedan can offer, but not so much room as a full size SUV. With that smaller size comes exceptional fuel economy. With up to 31 miles per gallon on the highway, the Jeep Renegade is a true contender in the compact crossover segment in all the right ways.
Four Trim Level Options
The 2016 Jeep Renegade is available in the same four trim levels as the 2015 model. The base Sport, Latitude, Limited, and the high-end Trailhawk – the new Renegade has something for everyone. Whether you require basics to get you reliably from one place to the next, or desire luxury appointments with sporty styling – the Jeep Renegade delivers it all.
Unique Jeep Features
One of the coolest optional features on the new Renegade model is Jeep’s My Sky roof. This dual-panel roof is a sort of hybrid between a car roof, and a sunroof. The feature allows for complete removal of the glass panels, for a true open-air experience. For times when a slight breeze will suffice, the My Sky roof is also retractable. Either way, you can bring the outdoors inside with this incredible Renegade feature.
