2016 Jeep Renegade Named Consumer Guide’s Best Buy
Recently, Consumer Guide named the 2016 Jeep Renegade their Best Buy. As the newest edition to the Jeep family, this news is coming as a very welcomed surprise. Not only has Jeep renewed their devotion to their classics, Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee, but the Renegade has a design all its own, totally separate from any other Jeep style.
Jeep’s Newest Family Member Already A “Best Buy”
It’s worth noting that the Miami Jeep Renegade started its journey only a year ago and in that year has managed to impress the good people at Consumer Guide enough to recommend it as a Best Buy.
Why is this?
In today’s economic climate, consumers are looking for an SUV that is both rugged and comfortable, compact yet spacious, powerful yet fuel efficient. Combining Jeep’s class-leading off-roading capabilities and with the refined handling of a Cherokee, and the 2016 Renegade has become virtually everything that a lot of young consumers are looking for in an SUV.

Most young people starting out have come to age in the time when SUV’s were flourishing. They still are, but the demands have increased. The 2016 Jeep Renegade
The Renegade is Jeep’s first entrance into the subcompact SUV segment. While they have dominated the SUV segment for years if not decades, this is first time they’ve been able to compete in a new category. After all, the Renegade is only one year old, however, it’s already an impressive ride.
Sharing the same platform as the Fiat 500X, the similarities between the two end there, almost…they are also assembled at the same Italian assembly plant. Being a Jeep, the Renegade comes with a tougher appearance.
While it is unique in its design, it does share similar Jeep features like the same 7-slotted grill and round headlights. What would a Jeep be without off-roading capabilities? An affront to mankind, that’s what.
Belonging to the Jeep family, the Renegade boasts four trim models available in FWD and AWD. Starting at Sport and working through Latitude and Limited, the final trim is the 4WD-only Trailhawk. You’ll notice these names are also shared with the Cherokee’s trims also. Like the Cherokee Trailhawk, the Renegade Trailhawk is 100% off-road ready and capable with a heightened suspension, tow hooks in the front and on rear bumpers, hill-descent control, all-terrain tires and underbody skid plates.
