Jeep owners looking to enjoy and enhance their ultimate open-air driving experience should thank their lucky stars now that Mopar introduced a new, factory-backed, doors-off mirror kit for the Jeep Wrangler and Jeep Gladiator. When the factory-installed doors are removed, along with the attached mirrors, the all-new Mopar doors-off mirror kit can be quickly installed for an enhanced rearview when hitting the trails.
“Mopar offers more than 500 quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts, and accessories across the entire Jeep lineup. With our new doors-off mirror kit, Jeep wrangler and Gladiator owners will enjoy an improved range of vision during their open-air adventures,” said Mark Bosanac, Head of Mopar Service, Parts and Customer Care, FCA — North America.
Unlike other aftermarket parts and accessories, Mopar specifically engineers and tests its doors-off mirrors against original-equipment standards. The focus is a production-equivalent field of vision with minimal vibration. Each mirror included in the kit is attached to a cowl-end cap and upper door hinge, while an innovative, custom thumb wheel-nut-clamp that’s responsible for attaching to the door flange. Mopar finished off the mounting brackets with an anti-corrosion undercoat and topped with a durable black powder-coat finish. Damage to the mirrors in tight spaces on the road or trail is mitigated thanks to a built-in break-away feature.
Mirror installation comes simple and only requires the use of a T40 bit wrench, which is found in the tool kit that comes standard on all new Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator models. Assembly for this accessory requires no special tools. The new Mopar Doors-Off Mirror Kit is now available as a stand-alone part in the U.S. and Canada and retails for $295. The kit is compatible with the current-generation (2018-present) Jeep Wrangler and (2020-present) Jeep Gladiator models. Mopar offers a standard factory-backed warranty for the mirror kit that includes two years/unlimited miles from the date of purchase or up to however long is left on a vehicle’s standard warranty of three years/36,000 miles.
