For the eighth year in a row the Jeep Wrangler has won the “Hottest 4X4 SUV” award at SEMA in Las Vegas. Way to go Jeep! SEMA (Speciality Equipment Market Association) is an annual event which consists of over 6,300 companies ranging from auto aftermarket manufacturers, car dealers, media, retailers, original equipment manufacturers and the list goes on.

SEMA provides much more than a show each year, but education, industry publication, business-to-business marketing events, professional development in the industry and much more. With that being said, winning an award at the show is prestigious to begin with, but eight years in a row? That just shows how much the Jeep brand run the 4X4 market.

What makes the 2017 Jeep Wrangler worthy?

  • There are two model options (two-door Wrangler and four-door Wrangler Unlimited) and more than nine trim options! All trims are off-road capable featuring four-wheel drive, but some trims like the Rubicon and Rubicon Recon have the most off-road features available!
  • Standard on all trims is a capable and powerful 285-horsepower 3.6-liter engine paired to a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission.
  • All trims come with all-season tires for better traction, but higher up trim levels and optional features for some trims include larger off-road tires.
  • The Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited come with the Command-Trac 4X4 system. This system has a transfer case that is both smooth and tough to help the driver tackle any terrain. The Rock-Trac 4X4 System is the other transmission system for the Wrangler, but it only comes standard on Rubicon models. This system comes with more control of torque and more torque with a off-road performance low-gear ratio of 4:1. The Rock-Track system allows for rock crawling at a lower speed, but with increased torque at the wheels.
