Jeep partnered with industry leader Volta Industries, Inc. — a commerce-centric electric vehicle charging networks provider — to showcase the all-new Jeep Wrangler 4xe to potential customers. This marks the first time the automaker joins forces with a reputable charging network to showcase its latest plug-in hybrid and electrified offerings.
“As the new Jeep Wrangler 4xe becomes firmly established in the marketplace, this unique network takeover with Volta Industries allows the brand to reach drivers at key moments in their daily commutes as they charge their vehicles. And as the first brand, automotive or otherwise, to implement Volta’s unique, dynamic weather-based technology, capturing the local outdoor conditions on 55-inch screens, it also creates an authentic connection to our drivers and the Jeep brand’s legendary status as the go-anywhere, do-anything vehicle for any lifestyle,” said Marissa Hunter, Vice President, Marketing, North America — Stellantis.
Volta is known for its unique charging stations that feature rather large, eye-catching digital displays, providing the opportunity to display optimal content and make for an exceptional experience for drivers who plug in their vehicles. Jeep wants to raise awareness of its all-new Wrangler 4xe model, the brand’s first plug-in hybrid offering. Jeep campaign videos can be seen in select California markets on Volta’s stations throughout the month of July (2021). What sets the campaign apart is the fact that Jeep is specifically relying on Volta’s dynamic weather-based ad capability to showcase two different creative concepts from the automaker.
When the weather is bright and sunny, the advertisement features a Jeep Wrangler 4xe with its top down, exploring the road less traveled. When the weather is not its best, meaning it’s cloudy and stormy, the Volta charging station will convey the idea that even in the worst types of weather, the Jeep Wrangler is still a capable go-to vehicle.
Volta currently has an extensive digital media network that delivers a high value, diversified audience that reaches over 70 million consumers in 14 of the 15 largest designated areas. Volta’s Media charging stations not only offer brands a dynamic content experience but includes activation and engagement opportunities as well. Brands that have worked with Volta and its stations in the past claim positive results and an uptick in brand awareness and increased purchase intent. Additionally, Volta Charging’s business partners who opt to have Volta charging stations installed attest that there’s been an increase in spend, dwell time and engagement on site.
