2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Breaks New Ground

June 10th, 2021 by

It was merely three decades ago when the Jeep Grand Cherokee debuted and began its journey to be the most awarded SUV in automotive history. Following countless industry accolades, over 7 million units sold globally, and four generations of the model, the automaker continues to influence and challenge the expectations of the full-size SUV segment with the 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The latest iteration of the SUV, the first three-row configuration of its kind, delivers an unmatched combination of advanced safety and technology features. For the first time ever the all-new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L offers seating for six or seven.

“When you set out to reimagine an SUV as beloved as the Jeep Grand Cherokee, building on its nearly 30-year legacy as an overachiever is paramount to every decision that is made. With that legacy guiding the Jeep team, the new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee is crafted to exceed expectations and do what no other SUV can do: deliver legendary Jeep 4×4 off-road capability blended with superior on-road manners. It is built on an all-new architecture and wrapped in a stunning new design that honors its iconic Jeep design heritage, while also extending to accommodate the third row to meet the growing needs of our Jeep customers who have asked for more space and functionality. The Grand Cherokee L truly stands out in its segment and continues to raise the bar in capability, performance, and luxury, while also breaking new ground in versatility and functionality,” said Christian Meunier, Jeep Brand Chief Executive Officer.

Designed inside and out to blend unmatched capability and composed driving dynamics, the state-of-the-art 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L features renowned 4×4 systems such as Quadra-Trac I, Quadra-Trac II, and Quadra-Drive II, along with the latest Quadra-Lift air suspension and the Selec-Terrain traction management system that can help tailor the Grand Cherokee L and enable it to traverse any terrain under any driving conditions.

Other additional perks future Grand Cherokee L owners can look forward to is the Active Driving Assistant feature, a Level 2 autonomous system that keeps the vehicle centered and at the speed limit as long as the driver’s hands remain on the steering wheel. Both the Overland and Summit trims offer night vision up to 219yards away. Jeep also offers a digital rearview mirror, a head-up display, a front-row wireless charging pad, and a rear-seat monitoring camera. The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L is expected to arrive at dealerships during the late second quarter and will be assembled at the brand’s newly-revamped Detroit Assembly Complex (Mack Plant).
