Jeep Previews 7 Concepts for Easter Safari – Miami Lakes Automall Jeep
Every year, Jeep enthusiasts gather for the Easter Jeep Safari in Utah, and Jeep usually helps celebrate by introducing some new concept vehicles. This year, Jeep is previewing seven new concepts to be introduced at the Safari March 28 to April 5 in Moab.
These concepts may never become Jeeps for sale , but they could inform future designs. Part of what determines whether these ideas will make it into production is the reaction that fans have at events like the Easter Safari.
The seven preview concepts that Jeep will be displaying include:
Jeep Chief
The Jeep Chief may be a 2015 or higher model, but it is designed to look like it came straight out of the 70s. It is a Wrangler in Cherokee’s clothing. It combines the look of a classic Cherokee with hints of a surfer aesthetic. Confused yet?
The Jeep Chief took two inches off the doors and windshield but it raised the body height by two inches. It also has a lift kit and a Dana rear axle. The exterior is a baby blue and the seats have a Hawaiian floral pattern.
Jeep Wrangler Red Rock Responder
The Red Rock Responder could be suitable for off-roading enthusiasts and rescue personnel alike. The Wrangler is designed as an emergency rescue vehicle, but it could also be used by individuals who like potentially dangerous adventures, such as rock climbing and trail racing.
The Red Rock Responder includes cargo boxes on its sides that hold tools like fire extinguishers, first aid kits, a hi-lift jack, a recovery kit and more. You can also use it to stock supplies like water.
Jeep Wrangler Africa
This Jeep looks like it’s ready for a safari. The Jeep Wrangler Africa has a 2.8-liter diesel engine with an automatic transmission for greater fuel efficiency, but also has a high-clearance front bumper and power-step rock rails to accommodate off-roading on all types of terrain.
This concept includes a roof rack for storing extra gear or fuel tanks, as well. It’s the perfect concept for a camping trip or trek through the jungle.
Jeep Cherokee Canyon Trail
This Cherokee features sleeker lines for a more aerodynamic feel than most Jeeps, and it has a desert tan exterior that matches its name. The hood and roof are black, and the exterior features special badges for the Hell’s Revenge trail.
Inside, the Cherokee Canyon Trail body color accents, cargo management system, all-weather floor mats and more.
Jeep Grand Cherokee Overlander
You won’t need to pack a tent for your next camping trip if you have this Jeep with you. The Grand Cherokee Overlander features a tent right on the roof, and a portable ladder can be set up on the side to access it. The elevated tent will keep you safe from snakes and other creepy crawlies, and it will make you feel like you’re sleeping in a tree house.
Other features include a front winch, tow hooks and a unique front fascia.
Jeep Renegade Desert Hawk
The Desert Hawk features the same desert tan exterior of the Cherokee Canyon Trail, yet it has a boxier design than that concept. The Desert Hawk includes special features like all-weather floor mats and Mopar Katzkin seat covers.
Jeep Staff Car
This concept hearkens back to the early military jeeps. It has open sides, a soft-top roof and a simple tan exterior. Inside, there are bench seats, painted steel floor and a roll cage. A built-in cooler is designed to look like an artillery box.
