1993 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
The Grand Wagoneer was a rare brand of Jeep offered only in 1993, but it remains a memorable addition to the Jeep lineup nonetheless. It’s woodgrain siding made it stand out from the pack and it delivered quality performance rivaling other Jeep vehicles at the time.
It may not have lasted long, but it became synonymous with an era of Jeep known for its fearlessness in trying new things.
1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The 1993 Grand Cherokee is truly a classic SUV. Upon its emergence in 1993, the vehicle proved immensely popular won several awards including Motor Trend’ s Truck of the Year and Four Wheeler’ s Four Wheeler of the Year. It sold like crazy and remains one the best Jeep vehicles not just of its decade, but of all time.
The 1993 Grand Cherokee was also groundbreaking because it was the first SUV to be equipped with a driver’s side airbag and brought new levels of comfort to a Jeep. It was the blueprint in which all later Jeeps would follow.
1997 Jeep Wrangler
The 1997 Jeep Wrangler sported perfect on and off road handling that was almost unprecedented at the time of its release. This Wrangler also proved to be an enduring favorite, with production not ending until 2006. It received rave reviews, won several awards, and was also responsible for inspiring the creation of the Jeep Rubicon in 2003.
The engineering change in this Wrangler was the introduction of the Quadra-Coil suspension, which replaced standard leaf springs and provided an improved on-road side.
