A Look at the Last EcoDiesel Jeep Gladiator Rubicon

It seems that the Jeep® brand is bidding farewell to the Gladiator EcoDiesel production, but not without a bang. The American automaker plans to release a limited-edition Gladiator Rubicon FarOut to commemorate the end of an era. The 2021 model year saw the introduction of the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon EcoDiesel, which set a new standard for capability with its best-in-class 442 lb.-ft of torque – a feat unmatched in the midsize pickup truck segment. The Gladiator also boasts the TorqueFlite 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission and a driving range of over 500 miles. It’s safe to say that the Gladiator Rubicon FarOut will be a fitting send-off for this incredible machine.

The award-winning 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine will still be available on the Gladiator, with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. However, what’s even more exciting is that the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon FarOut edition package – priced at a U.S. manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $12,100 – comes with the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine that boasts best-in-class 442 lb.-ft of torque. The limited-edition package includes third-generation Dana 44 front and rear heavy-duty axles, a 3.73 axle ratio, and the Rock-Trac two-speed transfer case with a 4.0:1 low-range gear ratio.

The latest 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon FarOut edition is priced at an MSRP of $69,995 (excluding $1,795 destination). Enthusiasts may order it until the end of September 2023, with deliveries starting in the third quarter of 2023.
