A Look at the 2023 Jeep Gladiator Sideburn Concept
Stellantis (FCA US) Design recently organized a memorable Cars + Coffee event that attracted an enormous crowd of car enthusiasts. One of the event’s main attractions was three of the latest concept cars from the automaker, including the stunning 2023 Jeep® Gladiator Sideburn Concept. The 4×4 capable pickup shimmered in a mesmerizing Solar Flash Yellow color, boasting innovative features perfect for off-road adventures.Â
The Gladiator Sideburn concept comes to life through the renowned 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, which is an award-winning engine. In addition, the remixed Gladiator revealed Jeep® Performance Parts (JPP) 2-inch lift kit and Bilstein performance shock absorbers to enhance off-road capabilities. The Bilstein shocks have remote reservoirs, providing superior cooling capacity for increased suspension travel and unmatched 4×4 Jeep off-road performance. The Black HRE 17-inch x 9-inch FT1 six-spoke wheels, which are fitted with 37-inch x 13-inch BFGoodrich tires, further accentuate the truck’s ruggedness.
The Gladiator Sideburn Concept has numerous distinctive design features. The Jeep pickup includes a unique seven-slot front grille, stolen from the 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 20th Anniversary Edition. The grille is safeguarded by a specially designed tubular grille guard, transforming into a comfortable bench for two individuals to rest while exploring the trails. The concept also comes with a modified Rubicon bumper housing a Warn winch, which ensures the Sideburn is always prepared for the great outdoors.
The JPP by Mopar design team listened to customer feedback and improved the Gladiator Sideburn concept. The design experts added removable 11-inch TYRI rectangular LED lights on the roof panels, which enthusiasts can easily disconnect. Furthermore, the lights are mounted using custom bracketry and improve visibility during off-roading excursions at night.
The JPP Gladiator Sport Bar is a lightweight carbon fiber and steel structure that improves the space between the cabin and the bed of the vehicle. It has bed steps on both sides for easy access and a mid-shelf fully equipped with tie-downs for portable storage totes. In addition, the bed features Molle panels above and behind the wheel flares, which provide additional storage options. The bed has specially designed RotoPaX containers for off-road trips, which secure liquid storage. Furthermore, the modified Mopar bed-mounted spare tire carrier can accommodate a 37-inch wheel and tire.
The Jeep Gladiator Sideburn concept has impressive interior features. The addition of JPP half doors makes the cabin more open-air, while JPP side steps and grab handles make it easier to enter the elevated seating area. The seats, armrest, shift boots, parking brake handle, and half-door pull straps are covered in beautiful deep red-brown Viennese Replicate Nappa leather, highlighted by Soul-stopper thread. The attention to detail is evident in the custom instrument panel bezels, which feature a 3D topographical map of Moab scenery in a matte-black base and gloss dark-silver trails. To complete the interior ambiance, decorative stainless-steel JPP pedal covers provide optimal foot traction for navigating challenging trails.
Now this is a concept we’d appreciate seeing more often.Â
