YJ Wrangler Rio Grande
The YJ Wrangler Rio Grande was only available in the year 1995 and was created to boost interest in the base 4-cylinder Wrangler “S” models.
In addition to gold and green paint colors, the Rio Grande came in colors rare for the Jeep brand including aqua and bright mango. It also came with a pueblo-inspired interior trim. The Rio Grande later disappeared once the clock struck 1996.
TJ Wrangler Rubicon Tomb Raider Edition
To celebrate the release of the film Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life in 2003, Wrangler produced over 1,000 models of the TJ Wrangler Rubicon Tomb Raider Edition .
The film may have received mixed reviews, but this special Wrangler proved to be a big hit due to its classic style boasting 16-inch Alcoa aluminum wheels and bright silver paint. Once Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life left theaters, the vehicle went with it, a nd remains highly collectible today.
TJ Wrangler Sahara Unlimited Edition Rubicon
The world of movies and Jeep merged once again in 2005 following the release of the film Sahara . The TJ Wrangler Sahara Unlimited Edition Rubicon boasted a look prime and ready for a blockbuster action flick.
Only 1,000 models were produced. Unlike other Rubicon models, this Wrangler featur ed a chrome grille and Graphite Moab wheels, making it perfect to drive anywhere in the world including the, well, Sahara.
