Miami Lakes Auto Safe Driving Holiday Tips

Is everyone enjoying the holiday cheer so far? The holidays are going as fast as they’re coming, and with them, people are on the road either making their way home or to the next big party for 2017. The best way to celebrate is to make sure the party you go to is not the _ last _ party. While out on the road, keep in mind these safe driving tips to keep the holiday cheer going.

Designate a Driver

Having a designated driver is a tradition as old as St. Nick himself. It’s the right thing to do. It’s the responsible thing to do. And it keeps everyone who is indulging a little too much in the eggnog from getting behind the wheel.

If everyone at the party is drinking, then check out a ride share service like Uber or Lyft, or even hail a taxi depending on where you are. There’s nothing like not having to worry about how you’re getting home when all you want to do is party like it’s 1999.

Rent an AirBnb

Looking to get away for the holidays but worry about having to drive a long way? Aside from drinking responsibly and getting someone else to drive, some of us rather not spend an entire week’s paycheck on a safe ride home if we live far from the city. Avoid the high fees by getting an AirBnb close to your party destination. Once the night ends, a walk home to sober up is better than an expensive 30-minute ride due to holiday traffic.

* Aside from staying at home, these are some pretty good ideas for getting home safe after the big New Year’s party. Know of any other good tips? Share them with us on the Miami Lakes Automall Facebook page . *
