How Can Dodge Improve SRT In 2024

Many aspects of the Dodge brand is built upon the Street Racing Technology aka SRT. The big wigs at Dodge have learned that drivers crave the racing aspect of owning a Dodge vehicle that carries the SRT moniker. We have enjoyed the 2023 Dodge Durango this year bringing back the SRT Hellcat trim that has been not around for a little while. However, we know the Dodge Hornet is a new option for the brand, but not part of the SRT community. Will the Dodge brand create the Dodge Stealth SUV as a replacement for the Durango after next year? Well, we can’t say for sure. The Stealth is expected to be a large SUV, but will possibly not have any SRT trims.

“We’re launching with full battery electric, and we think that by the time we get to that point the offering we’re going to have is going to be really attractive in the marketplace,” the Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis revealed to CarScoops.

What Kind of Powertrain Options Are Coming?

Dodge can improve their SRT line-up by including the Stealth in their line-up. With an expected starting price of around $40,000 MSRP (Plus destination fee) will come in about a year or so in the fall of 2024. The Stealth is expected to be made on the same WL platform as the Stellantis brand sibling to Dodge, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Some are expecting the Stealth to be produced on the new STLA Large platform, designed for electric vehicles but can possibly accommodate hybrids and electric vehicle technology. Either way, expect some degree of electrification. There’s a brand new Hurricane 3.0-Liter twin-turbo I-6 that will added to a slew of Dodge vehicle. This engine will replace the much beloved HEMI V8. Oddly enough, the original Stealth R/T carried a 3.0-Liter twin-turbo six-cylinder powertrain.

We can be assured the Dodge brand is set to offer a slew of outstanding vehicles that are electrified and awesome, but for now, the latest news is focused on what we have today like the 1,000 horsepower engine found in a modified 1970 Dodge Charger Want to buy or lease the newest Dodge rides?
